Chapter 5 Taste of Darkness

"Harry move your arse we're going to be late you slow bastard!" Harry shot a dirty look at the blond as he ran, trying his hardest to make it to potions class on time.

"Well maybe Draco if you had let me get dressed this morning instead of being fascinated with slowing me down we might not be in this predicament." Now this of course was the nice was of saying how Draco had snuck into the Gryffindor common room this morning, and jumped him in the shower. They arrived at the door, Harry could see Draco trying best to compose himself before he stepped through it to get scolded by a no doubt irate potions master. It was after all only two days ago that he had warned the two that if they were late again they would definitely regret it, or more over Harry would regret it. The blond knew Snape could do nothing to him, but although he had been more tolerable of Harry lately (much to do with a very nasty letter from Draco's father) he still got his jollies from torturing the boy who lived. Although not that Harry thought about it, Draco got off pretty much the same way.

"Potter! Malfoy! Late again? What is that 10 times in the last month?" The blond smirked, which only made the professor give him a dirtier look.

"Actually sir it's more like 20, but hey who's counting." Seriously it was like he actually wanted to get them in trouble. Draco tried to cover up a wince, as he received a jab in the rib from his lover.

"That's enough Mr. Malfoy. These tardy habits will not be tolerated! I have no choice but to dock 10 points from Slytherin for your actions." Draco scowled at Snape, and Harry at once recognized that look. Yeah, Snape was definitely going to pay dearly for taking those points away. He was sure that this time he would receive more than just a nasty letter from Lucius. "However I don't think it was entirely your fault." The greasy professor's eyes traveled over Harry giving him a look that matched Draco's. Oh. So it was going to be like that. The sad part was that he wasn't all that surprised. "I believe that certain new factors in your life have badly influenced you, and reward you 15 points for having to deal with such a nuisance." Harry was dumbfounded. Not only had Draco not lost any points, he had gained five! Life truly wasn't fair sometimes. "As for you Mr. Potter." His dark gaze traveled over to the seething boy, and if a hand wasn't slightly massaging his hip he might have attacked him right there. "25 points will be taken from Gryffindor for tardiness, and influencing some of our students to do stupid things..." See that was all he could take, Harry made a move to rush the unfair teacher, but a hand was fisted in his robes preventing it. First turning to glare at Draco, he saw how the blond wouldn't match his eyes, and so he turned back to his professor, noticing how a greasy eyebrow was raised at their small exchange. "That is all. Both of you take your seats."

By the end of potions class Harry was seriously wondering how one teacher could be such a bastard. He had take 50 more points from Gryffindor for no reason at all. Merely saying that Neville had messed up another potion, which was most likely true, but that always happened it was nothing that deserved that many points. Of course these actions caused the Gryffindors to detest him even more now that the house cup had moved in definite favor of the Slytherins. Life really could be unfair. Which he found to be even more true still when he was partnered up with Ron during Divination.

"Class your job is to ask your partner questions about his life, then right a five foot essay on what you think the choices they're making right now will lead to in the future." As Professor Trelawney sickening fake voice drifted through the air, Harry didn't even try to hide a groan. The world really did hate him. To make him be partnered with Ron of all people for this assignment...no this was definitely not going to turn out good in the end.

The sucky part was that, had him and Ron not decided to sit with each other at the beginning of the year, they could have avoided all of this. But then again, had him and Draco not decided to fuck out in the middle of the woods, Ron and him would still be friends. "Listen Harry I don't like being partnered with you, and I'm sure you feel the same way, so lets just get this over with and go our separate ways." Harry just nodded and looked down at the list of questions they were supposed to ask, deciding to indeed just get it over with.

The questions were all pretty basic, and he went with the first one that popped into his sight. "Okay...Who are your closest friends right now?" Ron smirked at the question Harry asked.

"Well that's easy Hermione, Seamus, Dean, Neville, Parvarti, Lavender, then of course there's Fred, George, and Ginny, but I don't know if they count cuz they're family...hmmm am I forgetting anyone?" The red head pretended to go into deep thought before shaking his head. "Nope guess not." Harry tried not to scowl at the prick sitting in front of him, and instead wrote down the answer to the question.

"Alright Potter my turn..." Potter? When had they gone to just last name basis? He scoffed, what the hell did it matter anyways? Ron hated him now. He should be happy he wasn't calling him dick weed. "Oh here's an easy one, even you should be able to answer this..." Though a small part of him realized that he deserved this, he couldn't help but miss his best friend. "Do you know the difference between right and wrong?" Harry rolled his eyes at the question...of course Ron would pick that.

"Yes Ron I know the difference between right and wrong." At the skeptical look on Ron's face, Harry was really starting to think differently about the whole missing him thing. In fact he was seriously considering being the first one to establish the name dick weed.

"Is that so? And here I thought we were supposed to answer these questions honestly, but oh well I always knew you were a cheat." Harry's fists clenched and unclenched, fighting his growing desire to punch the cocky red head in the face. Who took a deep breath, knowing that such an exchange would only cause more problems. The only thing to do now was to just try to get through the rest of the questions.

"Have you ever lost someone close to you?" Ron smiled at this, which totally confused Harry because he didn't have the faintest idea why that question would possibly make anyone smile. He soon found out though.

"Well if you're talking about in the physical sense no, but a very close friend of mine died...I think you might have known him his name was Harry Potter." Harry clenched his jaw as his ex-best friend continued. "Terrible what happened to him...He was really fucked up in the head you know. Didn't quite see things like a normal person would. That's why he let this disgusting person kill him...from what I hear he didn't even defend himself...actually I heard he rather enjoyed it" Harry couldn't take anymore. Stirring in his seat, he slammed his hand on the table to get the red head to quiet down, but that only made him talk louder. "It's really terrible how such a great wizard...hell the savor of the world even could sink low enough to become another person's bitch, and here I thought he had a chance of beating You Know Who." Ron gave a small chuckle at the expense of that. "When the truth is he's probably getting it up the arse from him too."

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" The entire room quieted down, and all eyes seemed to be focused on the pair. Though that didn't matter to Harry who was about an inch away from killing his former friend and desecrating on his body. Oddly enough it was Professor Trelawney's hand on his shoulder that brought him out of his trance.

"Is everything alright boys?" She glanced between the two snarling boys, obviously confused as to why they were two seconds away from killing each other. "Ron why don't you ask Harry his next question...we'll just let that other one go for now." Harry scowled at the red head...who returned it with a smile. The rest of the class had forgotten all about their own projects, and were focused solely on what might come out of the pair's mouth next.

"Alright Harry is there anything that you have ever regretted doing?" It was Harry's turn to smile.

"Why Ron actually there is one thing...you see I have been keeping this secret for quite awhile now, and I think it's time I told the world, or at least just this class." He smiled as he saw everyone's eyes on him waiting in anticipation. "You see the thing I regret most...IS EVER BECOMING FRIENDS WITH A POOR EXCUSE FOR A WIZARD LIKE YOU!" With that Harry grabbed his book, stomping out of the room, and ignoring the teacher's protest in doing so. This day really was beginning to suck, and with his luck could only get worst.

"Ah Harry you look distraught is there anything I can do to help." Why did all of his stupid predictions have to come true? Harry's eyes widened as he saw the red-eyed menace standing before him.

"No not you again...can't you see you've ruined my life enough?" Silas stepped in front of Harry, effectively blocking the boy from moving any further.

"On the contrary, I think your life has improved quite a bit...in fact I would have thought you would be thanking me."

Was he serious? "Thanking you? What possible reason would I have to thank you Silas? Would that be for losing me my two best friends? Or maybe for making me the most hated person in the school by everybody except the Slytherins? Or hey I got it maybe I should thank you for the fact that you sicked me on a little blond devil who loves nothing more than to handle me in whichever way he sees fit so that I most certainly will be in pain the next day...huh should I thank you for that?" Harry was shocked when he actually saw Silas role his eyes at him.

"You really like to whine you know that? For one didn't you just say you regretted ever becoming friends with Ron in the first place? Two I gave you new friends that will stick by you till the end...the only real people you can count on are the people who now call you friend...and three" Silas stopped to smirk at Harry, which sent a shiver down his spine. "I thought you rather liked what Mr. Malfoy was doing to you."

Harry felt a blush creeping up his neck, and turned away, finding the wall suddenly very interesting. When he felt a chill rack through his body as a hand had grabbed his chin, he had no choice but to stare into the blood red eyes that seemed to haunt his dreams constantly. "What do you want Silas?"

The other boy seemed much more focused on the body in front of him than answering questions. The freezing hand traced his chin, moving down to his neck, and finally settling on his chest. By this time it was becoming increasingly difficult for Harry to breathe. He felt his windpipes begin to freeze, and he could see his breath in the air. "Silas...Silas I can't breathe." This seemed to snap him out of his world, and he pulled back from Harry suddenly.

"I'm sorry Harry, but I didn't just come here to chat. I have a job for you." Harry, now returning to normal, took this as an opportunity to scowl as hard as he could.

"A job? What kind of job, and what makes you think I would do anything for you anyways?" The man just shrugged, and gave him a smirk that reminded him too much of Draco.

"Call it intuition...I know you'll do it because you couldn't stand to have a life on your hands." Silas's eyebrow rose in contemplation. "Or at least another life" Flashes of his parents, Cedric's, and Sirius's faces went through his mind. Reminding him exactly what lives were already on his hands. "And that's exactly what you'll have if you fail to comply." Harry narrowed his eyes, and took a step back, remembering exactly why he had been having nightmares about the man standing in front of him.

"What job? Why get me to do it? What makes me so special that I get graced with your presence all the time? I don't even know you!" Harry gulped as an energy seemed to be growing around the man, and took another step back as his eyes began to glow so bright it looked as if they were on fire.

"My dear Harry you are beginning to try my patience. Believe me when I tell you that some things are better left unsaid." Silas's hand snaked out, harshly squeezing Harry's throat, turning all of his vocal cords to ice. "Now you will do what I ask of you...nod your head if you understand." Although he felt ashamed he could only dumbly nod his head. The power radiating off this mysterious boy made him shake in fear. Truth be told he had never felt anyone this powerful before...not even Voldemort. "Good Harry now this is what you're going to do..."

Harry numbly made his way to the great hall for dinner. Affected severely by his encounter with Silas, he plopped down in between Draco and Blaise, still slightly shaking. The blond looked at him worriedly, but Harry ignored it and concentrated on jamming food down his throat. "Hey Harry you look terrible what happened to you?" He ignored Blaise's concerned tone, much too interested on the dry toast sliding down his throat. " It looks like you've just been run over by one of those muggle contraptions... what are they called again?" It was Draco who responded.

"They're called cars Blaise...now try not to be such an imbecile next time. Though I have to agree on the fact that Harry definitely isn't looking his best. Care to elaborate on why that is wonder boy?" Harry looked into Draco's eyes and barely kept his tears back.

"It's nothing Draco." He responded robotically. "I'm fine, really. Don't worry...I'm just fine." The blond rolled his eyes before grabbing his hand. His arm was yanked all the way out of the great hall, and down into their room in the dungeons without a single word as to why he was being pulled. Once inside the door was locked, and a silencing spell was placed on the room.

"Don't you dare tell me everything's alright! I know when something's wrong with you, and when you came in tonight you looked terrified. Now spit it out Potter! What happened?" If he wasn't so numb at the time, he might have actually felt something about the amount of emotion laced in Draco's words. Harry sighed, and tried to think of something quick. The truth definitely wasn't an option, but then again neither was death, which was sure to become him if he didn't answer the blond fast. He decided on a half-truth and hoped it would work.

"Me and Ron had a fight." He received a smile from the blond, and let out the breath he hadn't realized he was holding.

"Yes I heard about your interesting little Divination class today...These rumors I heard even went as far as to state that you said you regretted ever becoming friends with the weasel in the first place." The blond was steadily moving closer, so close that Harry could feel his breath on his face.

"I might have said something of the sort. You can't really blame me though...I mean after seeing what true friends are, who wants second best?" He winced as he was shoved roughly back onto the bed, and watched as Draco slowly undressed, moving over to straddle his waist.

"Indeed who would want second best?" The blond began removing his lover's clothes. Being rewarded when he grazed a very sensitive spot with a deep moan, which only seemed to encourage him. But Harry was not out of trouble yet. He leaned down, claiming the raven-haired boy's lips, and just as quickly pulled away. "You never told me why you looked so scared when you were in the great hall you know?" Harry opened his eyes to see the blond glaring back at him.

"I told you I had a fight with Ron...I guess it shook me up more than it should have." Draco growled in the back of his throat before grabbing a handful of his lover's hair and pulling it till he screamed.

"What have I told you about lying to me Harry? You're stronger than that to be almost crying over something so trivial." He tugged at the hair again, causing another scream. "Now the truth this time."

Harry couldn't handle this right now. Despite how much he adored Draco the last thing he needed was to go through one of their S&M sessions. He tried to push the blond off of him, but was only rewarded with more pain. "Draco please not now...I can't deal with it right now." This only seemed to make the blond angrier, and he bit back tears as his lover slapped him across the face.

"Can't deal with this right now huh?" He harshly grabbed Harry's face, making sure he looked at him. "You'll deal with whatever I say when I say it understand?" Harry numbly nodded, getting sick of having to do that, and let Draco continue. "You belong to me Potter, which means you do everything I say. Which means you don't question me. Which means when you come to dinner looking like you did, and I ask you what's the matter, you don't give me some bullshit excuse and think you can get away with lying to me."

Harry smiled at Draco, even though he was in utter turmoil on the inside. "I can't tell you yet Draco, but I promise I will soon. And since it is true that I belong to you...you'll no doubt feel the need to punish your disobedient slave...so punish me my master for I am yours to do what you will." That had to work. Draco was completely into the whole domineering bullshit. He knew that he was right about that when he saw a smile.

"You shouldn't tempt me like that Potter. I might feel the need to carry that out." Harry smiled before raising his hips to grind against the Slytherin.

"I'd be disappointed if you didn't." The blond smirked before capturing his mouth again, but then pulled back.

"Don't you for one second think that this means you get out of telling me...This only postpones it. And I do mean it. You won't disobey me a second time." Harry smiled again.

"I wouldn't dream of it."

Harry quietly slipped out of the room that night without disturbing Draco. He was no sooner out of the common room when Silas appeared in front of him. "My my Draco really did a number on you this time didn't he?" Harry ignored the comment as he began to cough up some blood. Probably from his almost broken rib that was paining him at the moment. "Although I can't complain it was very entertaining to watch." As disturbing as that statement was, the thought that Silas had been watching them slipped his mind as he settled onto more important things.

"Do you have the stuff?" He watched the boy before him pulled out a black robe, which Harry put on, wincing ever so slightly. Then Silas pulled out a golden staff, which Harry assumed was the port key, and with little anticipation, grabbed hold of it. With the familiar tug behind his navel he closed his eyes, and he knew he was heading for something he had only thought of doing in his worst nightmares.

He landed on an old musty carpet, and quickly stood up, doing well to quickly get his bearings. He looked around to see that he was in an old mansion that looked like it hadn't been used in ages, and swallowed his fear as he saw all of the death eaters staring menacingly at him. Although when he saw the man in front of him he knew he could no longer show any fear. Voldemort gave him a death glare, but his eyes seemed to widen as his most hated enemy got down on one knee, lowering his head. "My lord Voldemort I am here to serve you. I am your servant now feel free to do with me as you please."
