Chapter 8 You're So Last Summer
Harry barely made it back to the Gryffindor common room. His legs felt like they were stone, and wouldn't keep him up much longer. He walked into the common room to see Ron and Hermione sitting on the couch, and he felt a deep hurt inside of him when he remembered what he had with him. Though he doubted they felt that way about him, because all they gave him was an icy glare. Though he thought something else flashed through their eyes for a second, but it was gone when they spotted his chest. Harry inwardly cursed himself for not buttoning the shirt back up, or at least find a way to close it. Harry knew he couldn't escape this, and sighed when Hermione started in on him.
"So now you're not only his little play thing, but you're letting him mark you as his property now?" Harry wanted to explain everything to the bushy haired girl, but knew that he couldn't. After all there really wasn't anything to explain. Everything was just as it seemed, at least in the marking aspect. Though he realized now he really did miss his friends. He didn't want the life he had now, and he most certainly didn't want to kill somebody...Even if it was the detestable potions master. He couldn't take this anymore! He felt a tear slide down his face, and found he just didn't care anymore, letting them fall freely. He dropped to his knees, and looked up at his two former best friend's shocked faces.
"I'm...sorry...I'm so fucking sorry...I never meant...I never wanted...I NEVER WANTED ANY OF THIS!" He screamed so loud he was sure he had the entire dorm's attention by now, and his suspicions were confirmed as he saw a few heads poke out of the doors. He continued as if he didn't notice however. "Do you think I wanted any of this? DO YOU? I hate my life! You have no idea how much I wish I was dead right now." He walked over on his hands and knees to Hermione, and buried his head in her lap. She looked shocked at first, but put her hand on his head, probably not knowing what else to do as the raven-haired boy sobbed on. "Kill me Hermione! Kill me please...this can all end just...kill me..."
Hermione was now crying, as she looked down at what her friend had become. His body was so battered. She didn't even think he was even trying to heal himself anymore. He was probably the worst basket case she had ever seen. What had happened to him that he would be begging for death? She put a hand in his hair, smoothing it and letting him sob into her lap. "Harry shhh shhh it's alright." She looked over to Ron who looked just as confused as her.
"I love him Mione. I would do anything for him...but I can't do that. I can't! But I have to or he'll die...I have to save him." At this Hermione's eyes widened. She wasn't expecting this.
"Harry save him from what? Who is trying to hurt him?" Harry gripped the girl's thighs, just now realizing what he had said. He stood, backing up as quickly as possible so that he was back up against a chair. He frantically wiped his eyes, and looked back and forth from the two worried faces that were staring at him. He couldn't believe what he had just let slip. What kind of damage this could have done was beyond him. He had to fix it. He straightened up his clothes, trying to shut his shirt as much as possible. He put on his best fake smile, and started.
"Oh don't read too much into it guys...I'm just tired." Ron gave a disgusted look, and stepped forward placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh come on mate you can't lie to us like that. Despite what you think we do know you, and you are not just tired." Harry sighed, and tried to hold back the shakes. He bit his lip, as he realized he had to hurt his friends yet again. He put a dirty look on his face, and pushed Ron's hand away like it was poison.
"Don't touch me Weasel...That's the problem with your family they never let people finish." He noticed the shocked looks on their faces, but decided to continue. "As I was saying I'm tired of having to see your disgusting faces, and I'm tired of your stupid Gryffindor goodness! You should know that the only reason I came to you tonight is to if you would pity the person that you've been supposedly hated for the past months." He gave them a glare that would send the dark lord himself running, and hoped that it worked.
"Oh come on Harry you don't actually expect us to believe that do you? Malfoy may have tainted you, but he hasn't turned you into a complete git yet." Harry sighed and looked at Hermione. Okay so obviously that didn't work. There was really only one thing he could do to put an end to these questions, and he was really not looking forward to it.
"Listen mudblood the next time I want your opinion I'll ask for it...I think I know verra well what my own intentions are. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get some sleep. I'm rather exhausted from...well you know." With that he spun on his heels, not waiting for their reactions, and collapsed on his bed. After making sure a few silencing spells were up, he proceeded to cry himself to sleep.
Harry didn't show up to any of his morning classes, and around lunch time he finally stirred from his restless sleep. He rolled on his back, looking tiredly at the canopy above. He mouth dropped open when he saw he was also staring at red eyes. Red eyes that belonged to a body that conveniently happened to be floating above him. If he had the will at that moment, he probably would have screamed like a girl.
"What ever are you staring at my Harry?" Harry narrowed his eyes at the dark haired boy.
"Your leg...I'd like to brake it...and don't you ever call me your Harry again." Silas only seemed to laugh at this as he drifted closer and closer to where Harry was laying.
"Oh Harry don't be upset with me. You know I always have your best intentions in mind." Harry scowled before squirming in bed. He was feeling too close to the other person, and was not quite sure how to fix his situation.
"My best intentions? You can't be serious...and what the fuck were you doing there anyways Silas?" Instead of answering the red-eyed boy came down completely. Settling on top of Harry so that he was straddling his thighs. Harry tried to jerk out of the situation, but from his waist down felt frozen, and he realized he couldn't move.
"Fuck Silas get off of me! What the hell do you think you're doing?...I'm freezing." This seemed to get him to only smile, and then his looked turned to seductive as he leaned down to whisper in Harry's ear.
"Oh would you like me to warm you up then?" Harry felt his stomach lurch as he felt a hot tongue trace his earlobe.
"Silas what are you doing? Get off!...please don't do this." The dark haired boy didn't seem to listen though, and the burning hot tongue traveled further up his face. Harry couldn't believe how this felt. His skin was on fire, and the weird part was that any other time he had been with Silas it had felt like he was made of ice. Now he was igniting his entire body. Harry wondered what Silas could possibly be, and then the whole prince thing came back to him. "Silas why...mmmm...why did Voldemort call you prince?" He felt Silas stiffen, and the coldness came back.
"Don't ever mention that again Harry." Harry saw him stare at his lips hungrily, and dreaded what he knew was about to come. "Now kiss me." Silas claimed Harry's lips, and it was like they were on fire. Due to the sheer heat, he had no other choice but to open his mouth to gasp. The emerald eyed boy felt a burning tongue dive into his mouth, and at once it set his body on fire, but he knew it had to end. It was Silas after all...not Draco. He moved his head to the side, effectively breaking their contact.
"Silas stop! We can't do this...there's Draco...I can't do this to him." Silas was actually very angry about this. Harry had only once before saw his less then calm appearance, and it was nothing like this. His face grew very dark before grabbing a hand full of Harry's hair. The warmth that his kisses had issued was gone, and his hair immediately turned to ice. He bit back the urge to scream.
"Draco this, Draco that...How you ever fell for that brat is beyond me. He's not half as good of a lay as I am...and I should know I was his first." Harry's mouth dropped open at this, and no thoughts would form in his head. Silas took this as an opportunity to slip his tongue back into Harry's mouth. Despite how sick to his stomach Harry felt at the recent news, he pushed the warm mouth off of him. Tears were falling from his face again, and he quickly wiped them away.
"I don't believe you! Now get the fuck off of me...This will count as rape if you don't." Silas was back to smiling, as he gently stroked Harry's cheek.
"Oh Harry it isn't a lie...I have never lied to you, and believe me if I wanted to make you a willing participant it wouldn't be hard." Harry scowled.
"Somehow I doubt it...haven't you heard Silas? Imperius doesn't work on me." He made the dark haired one smile again.
"Yes I'm quite aware of that, and I wasn't talking about using any magic to make you my willing sex slave...I could do that on pure talent...but alas I will leave you for now, but with another warning." He cupped Harry's cheeks in both his hands, and looked him directly in the eye, making Harry shudder. "Don't let me see another mistake like what happened tonight with those little Gryffindor's happen again...if it does...well I don't have to tell you what will happen." That's right, he didn't have to tell him. Harry saw very distinctly in his head the dull and lifeless form of Draco after he had failed to protect him. Silas quickly pressed their lips together in a chaste kiss. "Good bye for now my Harry...until next time." Silas disappeared, and all Harry could do was yell after him.
"I told you not to call me your Harry!" His courage of standing up to the red eyed menace faded as he traced the lips that his had just been upon, and started to cry again. He never thought in a million years that Draco would ever even of known Silas, let alone...no it couldn't be true. He hadn't actually slept with him. It had to be a lie...it just had to be! Harry rolled over in bed. Quite aware that all of his afternoon classes were starting. He sighed, getting up to go to them. Anything would be better than just thinking about Silas and Draco together. Anything was better than thinking about the kiss they had just shared. He inwardly scolded himself again...for heaven sakes he wasn't that good of a kisser.
Harry made his way down to Transfigurations in the worst mood possible. Not only was this his first time back to the class since the fiasco had happened, but he was in a worst mood then before. He slowly opened the door, fully aware that he was late, and after swallowing made his way to his seat, trying to ignore all the eyes on him. He sunk into the seat next to Draco, and made sure he kept his head down the entire time.
"Well Mr. Potter I'm glad you could grace us with your presence...Do you by any chance have a good excuse, or would you like to make a mockery of my class again?" Harry looked up at her guilty, and then after a quick glance at Draco, looked back.
"I'm sorry professor I over slept...You'll have to forgive me." McGonagall looked outraged.
"Over slept did you? How many times is that now Mr. Potter? You have been constantly tardy ever since this term started. Not to mention your change in behavior...it's an outrage if you ask me." Harry scowled, and felt his temper bubbling to the service. The last thing he needed now was another lecture. "25 points from Gryffindor." Her heard sounds of disgust fill the room, and it sent him over the edge.
"25 points you can't be serious? I think that puts Gryffindor house in the negatives." McGonagall lost her temper as well, she walked over slamming her fists down on the table in front of him.
"Listen to me Mr. Potter I will take points when I want and how I see fit, and the only reason I can see why my own house would be in the negative is because you are always causing problems for them." Harry hung his head, and McGonagall just stood there thinking. "Very well if you don't want points taken from your own, house they'll be taken from Slytherin...yes 25 points from Slytherin." Harry was outraged. He stood up so he was staring her right in the face.
"You can't do that! I'm not even in that house. Just because you have a grudge against me does not mean you have the right to be such a bitch!" Gasps filled the room, but Harry didn't care anymore. He was way too angry to care what anyone thought at this moment. He saw McGonagall's jaw drop open in surprise before it closed, and her lips pursed more than they ever have before.
"How dare you...Never in all my years of teaching have I encountered such utter lack of respect. I am ashamed to even have you at this school. Go to the headmaster's office now, and only if he sees fit will you even be allowed back into my class." Still too mad to think, Harry grabbed his books and headed out of the door without even a glance back. He never liked transfigurations much anyways.
After he was out of the room the direness of what he had just done seemed to dawn upon him. He was going to see Dumbledore. What if he found out? Would he be labeled a traitor? The mark was still hidden on his arm, but Dumbledore knew everything. What would he think? The old man would probably be disappointed, and something Harry couldn't stand was to see the look of disappointment that seemed to radiate from all of the other professor's eyes come from those bright twinkling ones.
Harry had finally come to the gargoyle that led to the headmaster's office. Most students had never even been inside...yet he seemed to make frequent visits. "Peach Rings" The door swung open at this, and he stepped onto the stairs that elevated him to Dumbledore's office.
Dumbledore was there waiting for Harry, and motioned for him to take a seat in front of him. Harry looked around the office, it didn't seemed to have changed much from the last time he had visited. All of the old headmaster's were politely staring at him as if expecting something to happen, and then he spotted Faux, which quickly made him rub his wand...remembering exactly which phoenix had given him the feather. Then he spotted the penseive sitting on the headmaster's desk. He practically gasped when he remembered the fact that Dumbledore could read minds. He quickly built up the walls surrounding his mind, so as not to let the old man in. But he was never really good at it. Because really with Snape as a teacher how was he supposed to be?
"So Harry do you want to tell me what happened? I find it always best to start from the beginning." He stole a glance at the man, before looking back into his lap. He was actually smiling at him. Harry wondered what possible reason he would have to do that. He would have thought the headmaster would have been just as mad at him as all the other professors seemed to be.
"I don't know professor...I guess I've been a little edgy lately." It wasn't entirely a lie, he had been edgy. The thing he couldn't get over was the feeling of betrayal he got from even being in this office. He was Dumbledore's man through and through right? So why was it that he had joined the other side?
"And why is that Harry?" Harry grasped at his robes, wishing he could be anywhere but here.
"I haven't been sleeping much lately...Been having nightmares. I guess it just makes everything harder." Even as the words were leaving his mouth he could not believe he was actually playing the sympathy card. "If you wish it I'll apologize to Professor McGonagall." He heard the old man chuckle, and couldn't help but look up at that.
"Yes yes I do think that would be a wise decision...She informed me of your last argument in class. I couldn't help but find it quite funny...very disrespectful...but funny none the less." How could he laugh this off? Didn't he have any idea what he was doing to him? "Now Harry tell me more about these nightmares...maybe there's something I can do to help."
"They're just the same as before headmaster, but I guess now that Voldemort is at full power they're more potent then usual...it's nothing I can't handle." The actual weird thing was that since the fiasco with the ministry the dreams had been few or far between. His scar actually hadn't even been hurting lately, which was a rare occurrence on its own. At this he heard the old man chuckle again. "Excuse me sir but what is so funny?"
"Oh Harry it's just that I see how you've been handling things, and I realize you're not as grown up as I thought. Quite the opposite in fact you're only a 16 year old boy...It was wrong of me to put so much weight on your shoulders." Harry felt the anger boiling in his skin again.
"Sir you're wrong...I'm more mature then you could possibly imagine." He stood up, pushing the chair back, not caring that he had knocked it over. "No other person could have gone through half of the stuff I have, and I think I've done pretty good so far. And I intend to continue to do so until the day somebody actually manages to end my life!" Dumbledore seemed to be studying Harry, and he made sure his mind shields were still powerful as the old wizard appraised him.
"No, Harry you are right. Not many other wizards could have gone through what you did, but that does not mean that your accomplishments give you the right to act the way you're acting...I would have thought you were taught better than that." Dumbledore stood up, walking around his desk, so that he could place his hands on Harry's shoulders. "Now you will write up an apology to Professor McGonagall, and you will have two days of detention that you will serve with Hagrid." Harry was shocked he had actually gotten off so easy.
"Hag...Hagrid sir?" At this Dumbledore smiled, and his eyes sparkled under his half moon spectacles.
"Yes, I was most upset when he informed me that you haven't been around to visit him all year, so I thought what better way then to make you." Harry couldn't help but smile as he nodded to the headmaster, making his way out of the office. It was odd how getting detention from the headmaster had easily been the best part of his day.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Later he sat alone in Slytherin common room finishing his apology to McGonagall. He smiled to himself as he made sure to seem as sickenly sweet and sincere as possible. Someone entered the common room, and they seemed to have noticed his smile to for he looked up into blue eyes that seemed to taunt him.
"What in the world could you be smiling for Potter? From what I hear you should be packing your bags right now." Harry's smile widened when he realized it was just Blaise.
"Don't be ridicules Zabini you know those rumors are always a lot worst than the truth."
"Still...calling McGonagall a bitch...I mean it's true, but still. And the 25 points docked from Slytherin...you're a braver man than I to be standing in this common room right now...or rather sitting, but hey who's noticing." Harry's face lost its smile, and he now felt really worried. What would the Slytherin's think towards him?
"Err Blaise is everyone pretty mad?" The blue-eyed Slytherin began to laugh at that, and Harry still a little worried, waited patiently for a response. When the boy finally stopped laughing he looked at Harry seriously.
"Actually we all thought it was pretty funny. I mean we're above all the other houses by at least 200 already so it didn't really make a difference, and it was verra entertaining to watch." Harry scowled at that, but was relieved that he hadn't made anymore enemies...That is until Blaise continued of course. "But if I were you I'd stay away from Draco for awhile. He looked like he could kill someone after you got sent to Dumbledore's office...I think he's a might bit pissed at you mate."
Harry's stomach seemed to drop out at that. Draco couldn't be mad at him. He needed the blond now more then ever. More importantly Draco shouldn't be mad at him. It was absolutely ridicules that he should be mad at him for a few points from his stupid little house. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked into Blaise's eyes. "Don't worry I'm sure he won't take it out on your night time pleasures...Though maybe he will, actually I feel sorry for you mate."
Harry's jaw dropped open, and he began gasping. Honestly he must have looked like a fish out of water. Finally he managed to gasp between breaths something like. "What nighttime pleasures?" Blaise started to laugh again.
"Oh come on Harry! Draco's room is right by mine, and you two don't even put silencing charms up anymore...Not to mention he is almost scarily possessive over you...you don't get that way by just being friends." Harry had lost it! By this point he was now just a stuttering mess.
"Does anybody else know? You didn't tell anyone? What will happen if people find out...oh no..." The hand was placed again on his shoulder.
"Don't worry yourself I'm the only one that knows, and no I didn't tell anyone. And if people found out I reckon it would become a terrible mess, so lets make sure that doesn't happen ok?" Harry was unbelievably happy as he stared at Blaise. Of course they were friends, but he didn't know that anyone, especially a Slytherin, would do something like that for him. He was so happy, that without thinking, he flung his arms around the boy, knocking him backwards on the couch.
After some quick wrestling the pair ended up with Blaise on top of Harry. The brunette suddenly stopped laughing and stared into impossibly green eyes. He smoothed over a stray lock of dark hair, and then sighed. "You know if the little blond we both know and love saw us in this position...we'd probably be dead by now." Harry shifted uncomfortably, he had temporarily forgotten about him. Now he realized what this could look like.
"Yeah that's true Blaise...maybe you should get up." The brunette laughed again, before rolling off of Harry. He headed up to his room, giving one last look at Harry.
"If you and Drake ever split know you have someone to fall back on for great rebound sex." Harry, in spite of himself, couldn't hold back a laugh.
"I'll keep that in mind, but I warn you, you might have to wait in line." Blaise gave him a questioning look. "Never mind." The brunette shrugged before heading up to the dormitories. First Silas now him...who was going to try to seduce him next? He sighed before leaving the common room to go to Gryffindor tower. He needed some real sleep, and he knew he probably wouldn't get that with Draco, especially if he was being pissy again.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The next day Harry trudged slowly to Care of Magical Creatures. He was glad it was this class, because he didn't think he could take any other one...except maybe charms. He could do with a good cheering charm. Although he heard Flitwick was pretty pissed about that him and McGonagall joke. He stifled a laugh as he stood next to Draco with Blaise on the other side. The mental image of it made him laugh every time.
"May I ask why you're so happy, or will you flip out on me and call me some sort of obscenity?" Harry half smirked at the blond.
"Only if you provoke me." He licked his lips, and saw his lover's eyebrows raise. "And is it so wrong to be in an actual good mood for once?" It was Blaise who responded.
"Not for you mate. This is like an out of world experience...that old bat Trelawney will have a field day for sure if she heard about it. Can't have her favorite little death boy be in a good mood for once." Harry shook his head, but then a thought struck him.
"Hey how did you hear about that?" Though he wished he hadn't asked, because as soon as he did both Slytherin's started snickering. "Come on tell me." The blond stopped his snickering to look seriously at the raven-haired boy.
"Now don't be mad Potter...but you see we sort of put the old bat up to it the first time, and apparently she liked it so much that it has become one of her favorite pass times." Harry gave both of them the dirtiest look he could muster. They were the ones who started that...They were the ones who made all of his divination lessons pure hell.
"You assholes." But that just got them snickering again, as a large hand was place on Harry's shoulder.
"Now 'Arry language...I'm supposed to report to Dumbledore...Great man for even letting you off so easy by the way, and the very next day you're out here causin trouble again...I don know I jus might 'ave to request dat your detention be longer." Harry looked up at his friend, and suddenly missed all of the little visits they used to have. He couldn't help the guilty feeling welling up in his chest from not even coming to visit him this year, but he supposed he could just add it to the growing list of things he was going to burn in hell for.
"No Hagrid you don't have to do that, I'll be good...And sorry bout not coming and seeing you...it's just I've been rather busy lately." He saw the blond smirk at this, and gave Hagrid a lop sided grin.
"Oh it's alright 'Arry, but I do wish you would have come by...Now tell me why you're over 'ere with these...well these." Draco stepped up at this.
"Yes? Is there something you wish to call us...or is 'these' all your poorly educated brain can muster?" Harry glared at Draco, before turning back to Hagrid. The half giant in question was turning a sickish sort of reddish purple.
"I can see where 'Arry's manners are comin from...It's from spending so much time with spoiled little brats like you...If you ask me his punishmen' shoulda been to stop bein round you Slytherin folk." This only managed to piss the blond off more, and Harry stepped back, already anticipating what was to come.
"Oh really spoiled little brats are we? At least we have enough sense not to get ourselves expelled...You my not so friend should be embarrassed even to stay at this school. The only reason our headmaster lets you stay here is because he loves disgusting things...Take muggles for example." Hagrid took a step forward face, now a deep red. "What are you going to do oaf, attack me? You'll be out of Hogwarts in the sight of two minutes, so go ahead...try it." Hagrid seemed to get back his control after the threat of him leaving Hogwarts, which everyone knew would more than likely happen seeing as who Draco's dad was.
"'Arry what in the world are you doing with them?...Why aren't you with Ron, or Hermione? I know they miss you, and they're worried about you...said you came in crying dah other day. 'Arry what's 'appened to yeh?" When the crying part was mentioned Draco gave him a questioning look. One which he answered by continuing to stare at the ground. There was no way he could answer his old friend.
"The only thing that has happened to him is he has finally come to his senses. He doesn't want his disgusting lying friends anymore, and that includes you." Both Hagrid's and Harry's eyes widened. Harry took a for forward knowing he had to do something.
"Now guys we're all upset let's just relax and..." but he was never allowed to continue.
"Let's nothing Harry. You told me just the other night that you thought he was a stupid oaf...Are you going back on what you said?" The blond gave him a look that said it was either he went along with this, or he lost him, and Harry swallowed, knowing he couldn't live with the latter.
"Hagrid it's just well I've come to a few understandings this semester, and well..." Draco finished for him.
"What he's trying to say is he's come to a few understandings and you don't happen to be one of them." Harry really could strangle the blond right now, or better yet strangle himself, because he would have rather of been dead then seen the hurt look that was on Hagrid's face. He watched as his large friend frantically wiped his eyes, trying not to show that he was crying. "Now don't you have a class to teach?"
"Actually I do." He wiped his eyes one more time, before making his way to the front of the group. In a shaky voice he managed. "Now class open your books to page 378...today we'll be studying tree nymphs." Harry had never felt more terrible in his entire life.
After class Harry stamped off, followed closely by Draco...Blaise had had enough sense not to follow the two. The blond finally caught up to him fuming and spun him around, pushing him up against a tree.
"What are you so upset about, and what was all that nonsense about you going to those stupid Gryffindor's crying?" Harry was furious.
"What am I so upset about? What am I so upset about!? Do you realize that you have finally driven off my Last friend?" He was stopped by a stinging slap to the cheek, and looked up at a fuming blond.
"First never yell at me...I would have thought you knew better. Second that stupid hairy thing should have never been your friend in the first place...I would have thought you would have been thanking me for relieving you of a disgusting burden, and third what was all that business about you crying?" Harry was amazed that the blond could just play everything he had just done off like that, and then to have the audacity to actually turn the questioning on him.
"You know you amaze me Draco...You don't feel one bit bad about what you did do you?"
"Why should I feel bad when I did you the favor huh? Answer me that." Harry sighed. He knew he couldn't keep up this fight with the stubborn blond, so he didn't even try.
"You're right Draco...What ever could I have been thinking?" Draco smiled, and leaned in to kiss his pet.
"Good boy...Now I'll ignore your obviously sarcastic voice if you answer my question. Now why were you crying?" Harry swallowed. Now what could he say?
"Oh come on don't tell me you bought that. They probably just told Hagrid that so that he would intervene...pathetic if you ask me." It was quite upsetting that out of all the people, he hated lying to him the most. The blond smirked before capturing his lips again...much more urgent this time, and when Harry was just a big puddle in his arms, he pulled back.
"Alright love, but I better not find out you've been lying to me...Now we have free periods the rest of the day...I'm sure you can think of something we could do." Harry smirked, and they both headed back to the castle.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Later that afternoon Harry stood pacing around the common room. It was now only four days till Christmas holiday, and the sickness in Harry's stomach about what would happen over this holiday seemed to come back. He couldn't stand being in this room, or anywhere that reminded him of Snape. He just couldn't be reminded of that now.
He left out of the portrait, and was just about to be out of the dungeon when he ran into Seamus again. Harry was shocked at first, but then actually glad to see his former Gryffindor friend.
"Hey Seamus how's life treating you?" Harry smiled as he received a scowl from the person he just so happened to be blackmailing.
"You shouldn't look so smug...I saw what happened in Transfigurations. If you keep doing that they'll have no choice but to expel you." Harry smiled again.
"We'll see now won't we...Now not to get straight to business, but have you had any progress?" This caused Seamus to scowl again.
"No nothing bad, but they have been asking about you a lot lately...You know doing the little detective thing that they're so good at. Instead of this time it's against you...ironic isn't it?" Harry growled deep in his throat. He definitely didn't need those two snoops right now.
"Tell you what Seamus, forget about the dirty stuff on them. You just tell me anything they find out before anybody else finds out, and we'll call it even. Now how is...how is..." Seamus scowled again.
"His name's Stewart, and he's bloody pissed at you. How do you expect the professor's to believe that work is yours if you never show up to your classes, and when you manage to you get kicked out?" Harry smiled again.
"I'm sure he'll manage...now do we have an agreement?" Harry held out his hand, and with a dirty look Seamus took it. Harry smiled, and had turned to leave, when Seamus called back to him.
"By the way the way Harry who you taking to the Yule Ball? Because it's kinda been a bet in our house, and I thought since I was doing this for you...you know you could let me in." Harry's jaw dropped again. He spun around ghost white to face Seamus. How could he have forgotten about the ball?
"That's not by any chance required is it?" He tried to sound hopeful, but really all his hope was already gone.
"Of course it is...Wait don't tell me you don't have a date yet?...Though I guess you're not all that popular right now, but I would have thought how disgusting you've been being the snakes would have been all over you." Harry shuddered.
"A date's not required is it?" Seamus started laughing.
"You don't have a date do you?...Wow that's hilarious." Harry scowled at the sandy haired boy. He didn't think it was in the least bit funny. Not only did he have to worry about what was to come over the break, now he had to do this. Life really wasn't fair sometimes...most the time in his case. "But yeah mate you gotta have a date." Harry huffed before turning around and stalking down the hall. It wasn't the getting the date part that would be difficult. It was the keeping her alive after Draco found out that was going to be challenging. Wait if it was required did that mean he had one as well? And why hadn't he mentioned it before? Harry clasped a hand to his head. This really was going to be the worst Christmas of his life.
.,.,.,.,.,.,.,..,.,.,.,.,.
