2Moving
You cried yourself to sleep last night
while I stood at your door
The memories you tried to fight
were so hard to ignore

They crushed you far beyond repair,
and in that hell's expanse
you cried for every murdered chance
and each unanswered prayer

You cried for every waking dream
you could have lived without
You cried for every silent scream
and every voiceless shout

You cried for all those shattered years
you never will forget
For every drop of blood and sweet
you cried a thousand tears

You cried for every broken seam
where your soul tore apart
You cried for every fallen beam
that caved in on your heart

You cried for each forgotten smile
for each remembered sigh
for every time you wished to die
as your heart stood on trial

You cried for every wasted day
you thought those lies were true
But if the pain all fades away
what will be left of you?

The silence there was so profound
I couldn't help but weep
and as you cried yourself to sleep
you didn't make a sound
