A Snowy Land
Way up high,
In the light blue sky,
Out my window,
And in the air
What do I see out there?
I see clouds.
One cloud I see,
Plain as can be,
Forms a land,
Covered in snow.
A land with mountains,
And hills as they go.
"Oh, look!" I say,
"The clouds look like a mountainous land,
Covered in snow"
The Patchwork Quilt That Is America
As I fly high,
In the pretty blue sky,
I look out my window
And guess what is out there?
I see the patchwork quilt,
That is America.
Here and there,
And everywhere
There is a different color.
Green: the grass;
Spots of green: the trees;
White: the houses.
I see hills, some with trees,
Some without.
As I look out, is think,
Without the Wright brothers,
I wouldn't be able to see
This colorful patchwork quilt,
That is America.
