Bob reentered the room with a mischievous smile. I was slightly curious as to why, but my question was answered when Gerard followed him out of the room and tackled me in a hug.
"You have no idea how much you mean to me," he said, on the verge of tears. "I would die without you." I returned the hug, feeling the tears start to come. I instantly forgave him for all of it.
"Me too." He stood by the window, glancing at me, and smiled peacefully. And I finally realized he would be okay.

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

Forever and ever.
