Difference in Me
By Vahn Death Heart
As I look around
I have noticed a single thing
That I have found
Not so many look at me with
Hate
Distaste
Fear
Or Sympathy
I looked at myself and thought
'Why?
What's so different?'
I sit there, Confused
Then I think how I treat others
I am no longer a being of
Hate
Distaste
Fear
Sympathy
Heartlessness
Uncaring
Burning Misery
Despite
Coldness
Rage
Damage
Or Solitude
People actually regard me
With Respect
People not of my family
Tell me they love me, daily
People actually call me their friend
Not with hesitance,
But with pride
People actually come to me
For advice, for help, for confidence
If you ask me who
I wouldn't tell
Because I respect them
Even love some
As I look at this
I feel sorry for those
Who told me
Not to change...
For anyone!
Because every time
I meet these people
I change a little more
I become happier
I become more caring
I become more loving
I become more of the person
I want to be
And for that
I am
Thankful
