Land of Wonder

The forest is an unknown treasure waiting to be opened
Like pearls hiding in oysters
Trees innumerable rows of soldiers
Standing still in serenity waiting for orders
Each telling a tale from long ago
Extending their ancient branches like arms reaching for the heavens
As if they're thanking God for their secret home
Hiding in the land made unknown to man
Leaves dance gracefully rustling through the hidden sanctuary
Dancing like colors shifting peacefully away in the wind
From below sounds are astir
Bids chirp harmoniously down to the animals of land
While the sound of deer's feet crunching through leaves fills the mystical air
The sky begins to darken as night engulfs the sun
All sound hushed into unity
Then crickets begin chirping in harmony
As night ends in the land of wonder
