Flooded once I was-
by an ocean of life.
Currents of love pounded-
through my veins.
Waves of joy rippled my-
iridescent surface.
The sky-
my friend.
The wind-
my song.
The sun-
my warmth.
The land-
my home.
You-
a lurking disease-
draining the currents-
seeping the waters from me-
like a snake-
like a poison.
Until-
only a crust of salt-
remains in the hollow well-
remnants of what I once was.
Now-
reeking of damnation-
devastation-
destruction-
death.
