For forever is so long
Kiss me till I'm breathless

I'm lying here contented,
Wrapped tightly in your arms
Promises of forever
Together all night long

Even though I'm told its wrong

I'm waking up so languid
Alive and content
Happy to have slept beside you
But this morning you are gone.

I've spent so many years crying
Believing that you are here
But dreams don't last forever
And never will you come back
