Chapter 14
A/N: Editor: The Resident
Harry's company was standing in front of beautiful crafted heavy wooden doors, which led to the East side salon. Behind him were Pansy, Ginny, Cho, Luna and Luan standing, next to him was the silent Su standing. When the walked toward the East side salon, Harry noticed that Su did not walk in a normal way, she walked differently; it looked smooth and was noiseless.
When he watched her face while walking, he could not see any hint of an emotion, her face was flat and no expression was on her face... she was like a sliding statue. But Harry had the feeling that she was watching him very closely.
Now he was standing in front of this beautiful door, and was about to enter the East side salon. He moved his hand to the door handle, when he suddenly felt Su's hand on his.
"Wait a second," she whispered. "Some people in here wish you bad," she continued whispering. "The boy Ron Weasley is jealous beyond reason and his brother with the name Bill is a desperate man. Both of them know about you and your wives and slaves, and they are likely to become aggressive. Beware of them."
Harry looked at Su, and still he did not find any trace of emotion in her face. He nodded at her and opened the door.
The first thing he saw was a large room, filled with beautiful plants and bright flowers. In the middle of the room was a large aquarium, filled with colourful fish and behind the aquarium were coffee tables surrounded by comfortable looking chairs. He saw Tonks with two older people. He assumed they were her parents.
Hannah was sitting and studying the aquarium. Next to her sat Susan, who was looking straight at him. There were no Weasleys in sight, but he heard them screaming from his left.
At his right, Harry saw high Victorian styled windows, letting in the morning sunlight and a spectacular view over forests and fields. The beautiful windows were surrounded by white curtains with red and yellow flowers with light blue stripes. In front of each window stood one coffee table and a lazy chair, pointing to the outside.
At the far walls he saw again paintings, but this time paintings about landscapes of forests and beautiful trees. Above the paintings were plants hanging from the ceiling... all the plants carried little pink flowers and the effect was spectacular. Harry was aware of the smell in this beautiful salon; the smell of wild flowers. Oh Merlin, he loved it here, except for that dreadful noise of Neanderthal.
He saw two doors on his left side, one of them was open and the noise of screaming and yelling came from there. Harry and his company entered the East side salon and Harry walked straight to the people near the aquarium. He was truly pleased to see Hannah and Susan; he had the feeling that they could be the stabilizing factor in his life.
Susan did not look anywhere else then, only at him and he walked directly to her, grabbed her hands and kissed her on the cheek.
"I'm happy that you are here," Harry said with a wide smile. Hannah stood up from her chair and came to Harry and Susan.
"And you too, Hannah. I think that I missed you both," he said smiling happily.
Both girls looked surprised at him, and they could not help to smile as well. Next to Harry stood his shadow, Su Li. Hannah grabbed Harry in a hug and kissed him on the cheek.
"I see that I can't leave you alone," she whispered in his ear. Harry agreed completely.
The Tonks family stood up and approached the little group.
"Lord Baron," a male voice came from Harry's back.
Harry turned and saw the parents of Tonks.
"I believe that we are not formally introduced," said the man. "My name is Ted Tonks, this is my wife Andromeda Tonks and you know already my daughter Nymphadora Tonks," he said.
Harry smiled a wide smile at Tonks and forced at her father.
"Mr. and Mrs. Tonks... welcome to the Gryffindor castle," he said, still smiling.
"You BASTARD, where did you hide Fleur?!" roared a voice throughout the salon.
Everyone looked anxiously at the door leading to the conference room, where a red faced Bill Weasley stood with his wand in his hand.
"I'm going to kill you for this, Potter! Tell me where she is, or I break down this little rat hole of yours, stone by stone," he roared.
Everyone looked shocked at the enraged figure, who pointed his wand toward Harry.
"Gelo Minuo!" he yelled, and Bill came running in high speed toward Harry.
The dirty yellow beam of a spell flew in high speed toward Harry, who grabbed his wand and cast a Protego shield n front of him. He would be easily able to avoid this blood freeze spell, but he was afraid that Bill could hit somebody else behind him. So Harry hoped that his shield would be strong enough.
The spell hit Harry's Protego shield and bounced off into the ceiling. Harry could see a fast approaching Bill Weasley, who as in the process of casting the next curse.
"Accio Bill's Wand" he yelled as fast as he could, and the effect was immediately. Before Bill could finish his incarnation, his wand flew out of his hand, and Harry was able to catch it. Harry was so lucky that Bill was so stupid to cast a curse or spell with such long incantation. It must have been a very dirty curse that Bill wanted to cast on him.
Bill Weasley was still in full motion and he approached Harry in high speed. With the lost of his wand, the only thing what was left for him to do was killing Potter with his bare hands.
"Bill, stop it!" his mother's voice yelled far behind him, but he did not care. He wanted to kill the Potter brat finished off, who stole his girl.
"Expelliarmus." a quiet voice whispered next to Harry. The red beam hit Bill on his chest and he was thrown into the air and fell on his back... unconscious.
Harry looked sideways and saw little Su Li standing there busy to shed her wand back into her wand holster. He smiled at the girl, and turned his attention back at Bill and the fast approaching herd of Weasleys.
Molly Weasley was almost sick of worry, and ran toward the company. She looked where her unconscious son lied and went immediately to him.
"Oh Bill, what did you do? What were you thinking?" she wailed.
"I do not appreciate the violence in this castle," yelled Harry. "We have many guests here, and they might be in danger because of lunatics like this Bill here. Why did you bring him here, Mrs. Weasley? He is dangerous, don't you see that?"
"But he is my baby," wailed Mrs. Weasley, sitting on the floor with Bill's head on her lap. "Since we lost Ginny, and Bill lost Fleur, the family is not the same anymore," she said. "Everything is falling apart!"
"Why did you steal Hermione, Potter?" Ron's voice from Harry's left started to yell.
"Great, the next idiot's starting to yell now," growled Harry, grabbing his wand again.
"What do you have to say about...?" Ron started again, but was stopped quickly by a well aimed spell from Harry. Ron also dropped on the floor unconscious.
Harry was angry beyond belief.
"MR. AND MRS. WEASLEY, IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR HORMONE DRIVEN SONS THIS INSTANT, YOU WILL BE KICKED OUT OF THIS CASTLE IMMEDIATELY," Harry roared.
Harry's powerful magic whirled around him, and his eyes were burning like green fire.
"The next lunatic who grabs his or her wand, I curse him or her till Christmas," he said coldly.
Nobody said anything.
"Gidi."
"Yes Master," Gidi said, appearing immediately in front of Harry.
"Get those two unconscious lunatics into a cell, where they can't get out," Harry growled.
"Yes Master," she said. She levitated Bill above Ron, dropped him unceremoniously on Ron, touched them with her hand and they all disappeared with a very loud crack.
"What did you do with my sons?" yelled Mrs. Weasley.
"They are in the dungeons," Harry said icily. "If you don't calm down immediately, you will follow them, am I clear?"
Mrs. Weasley stared at him in shock, her mouth open and she could not say one word.
Mr. Weasley laid a hand on her shoulder and led her to one of the coffee tables. "It is better so, Molly. They can cool down and we speak to them later when they are able to listen to reason," he said. Mrs. Weasley nodded hesitatingly.
"Noosa."
"Yes Master," asked the suddenly appearing Noosa
"Refreshments again, please?" asked Harry pleadingly.
Noosa grinned. "Right away, Master," and little elf plopped away, smiling widely.
"Everyone!" shouted Harry. "Please come to the salon and sit here at the tables. I guarantee that nobody here will turn his wand at anyone, and no one will scream or curse," Harry said with a threatening expression on his face.
"I will not accept that from anyone," he continued, looking pointedly at a red-faced Percy Weasley. "If you grab that wand, I blast your arm off and expel you from the castle and have your head politically, together with your boss here," growled Harry with a very low voice.
Percy paled considerably and looked at his boss, Minister Fudge, who was standing next to him, looking very nervously.
"Percy, maybe you should calm down," Cornelius Fudge said with wavering voice.
Percy looked unsure for a moment, but he felt the burning eyes and the pressing magic behind the eyes of Harry and nodded slowly. He grabbed a hesitating and unhappy looking Cornelius Fudge by the arm and led him to a table and sat down.
Tea, biscuits and small donuts appeared on the tables, together with small plates of strawberries, red and black berries. They were accompanied with white and brown sugar and honey and everyone present started to relax.
Harry felt a hand on his arm, which pulled him toward one of the tables. Hannah was smiling proudly at him. "Sit down and relax, my most wonderful and powerful Lord," she teased, and Harry could not help then to smile. He could see in the corner of his eyes that Ginny and Pansy were scowling, but at that moment he did not care.
"Harry, I insist that you return Bill and Ron immediately. I am sure that they will behave themselves now," Mrs. Weasley said with a shrill voice.
"Mrs. Weasley, you must be very grateful that Lord-Baron did not press charges against your sons and you," Hannah said. "Especially with the Minister present here, and firing very dangerous curses, endangering not only Lord-Baron, but his guests as well. For violating Lord-Baron's castle and damaging it, he would be sitting for a long time in jail," said Hannah calmly.
Mrs. Weasley paled and her eyes went wide.
"You would never do that, would you, Harry?" asked Mrs. Weasley taken aback.
"Not me, Mrs. Weasley," said Harry. He decided to play along with Hannah. "But maybe my other guests would like to see some justice done. It was not a good idea to bring your emotional sons with you, and it was a question of time when this outburst would come."
"Where is Fleur?" asked Mr. Weasley.
"She is in her room, because she is too afraid to be confronted by Bill. She is afraid that he would hurt her," said Harry calmly.
"Bill would never do that!" exclaimed Mrs. Weasley.
"He would not, Mrs. Weasley. But I doubt that he understands the seriousness of the situation," answered Harry.
"What do you mean?" asked Mrs. Weasley.
"Fleur's Head of Family decided to give Fleur as a slave to me. He broke a marriage contract with his granddaughter and me and give his most precious thing he had, and that was Fleur. By doing that, he reduced Fleur to a slave. She had nothing to do with that scheme and she had no other choice."
"It is always somebody else's fault with you, Potter," said Percy annoyed.
"That is true," answered Harry. "My life is being dictated by stupid and ancient laws, rules, traditions and obnoxious people like you. From the moment I was one year old, others were ruling and running my life. None of what you see here is my choice, not even the clothes I wear is my choice," said Harry calmly.
He looked at a flustered Percy. "Do you truly believe that I would take Fleur as a slave? Do you truly think that I have the power to reduce a person into a slave?"
Percy stared at Harry for a moment, and slowly he shook his head. "Nobody has that power," he said slowly.
"That's right," said Harry. "What are you doing here, Minister?"
"Ah, Harry, my dear boy. I always believed in you, my boy. Since Dumbledore last year claimed that you-know-who was back, I was in heavy denial and under the direct influence of Lucius Malfoy without knowing it," he said in a comforting voice.
"I didn't know that Lucius Malfoy was a Death Eater. I worked with him for many years. I knew him from the times when we were young, and never in my life would I suspect him to be in the service of you-know-who!
"What I did last year to you was unjust and hurting, and I would like to apologize to you for what I did. I hope you would accept my apology, and that we both can work together to bring you-know-who down," a sweating Fudge finished.
Harry looked at Hannah, who was smiling at him.
"Hannah?" asked Harry.
Hannah nodded at Harry and stared at the Minister.
"Minister Fudge, I speak for the Lord-Baron here," she said with a calm and clear voice with a hint of a threat. "I, Hannah Abbott, Lord-Baron's fiancée, want to make an arrangement with you."
"An arrangement?" asked Fudge dumbstruck.
"Yes, Minister Fudge. Lord-Baron represents fifty-one percent of the Wizengamot votes and he can oust you as minister in a heartbeat. You know that, Minister. Lord-Baron wants to make an agreement with you, where he gets something from you, and you can stay in function as Minister," she said with a smile.
Fudge looked wide eyed at Hannah, then to Harry.
"Lord-Baron?" he said hesitatingly.
Harry was not sure what Hannah wanted to do, but this was a perfect possibility and a way out of the slave problem he had.
"What is it what you want, Harry?" Fudge said wearily.
"I want that you change the law or create a new one about slavery," Harry said.
Fudge looked unbelievingly at Harry. "Slavery?" he squealed unbelievingly.
"I want a law where it is possible that a slave can marry a person, and in this way recover his or her freedom and full rights," Harry said.
Fudge was looking thoughtfully for some moments. "And what do I get back?" he asked.
"Changing a law about slavery was not a problem with the full bloods in the Wizengamot, and with the fifty one percent support of Potter here, he might get such law easily through, not to forget the political boost he would receive," said Hannah, "He did not expect that he would have any problems, because there were not many Wizengamot members who owned slaves. The slavery law was a neutral law, innocent and was only there because of ancient times. "
"I'm not ripping your head from your body," Harry said harshly.
"What he means, dear Minister, is that he will keep you in power," interfered Hannah quickly, looking apologizing at Fudge, kicking Harry under the table.
Fudge looked at Harry. "How do I know that you will not remove me next week?" he asked.
"As long as you function as a normal minister, and keep yourself on your own laws, nobody will make a move toward you, Minister Fudge," said Harry politely now, with a sideways look at Hannah, who was smiling sweetly at him.
"We have also an issue about Hogwarts," Fudge said pleasantly. "That was also the reason why I am here. Since many years the Ministry arranged and supplied the budgets, the teachers and all other boring details.
"I heard that you had the headmaster Dumbledore fired. The fact that the old man is gone is already very pleasant, but that suppose to be the task for the Ministry, Harry, not you. I truly don't want to border you with the unpleasantness of dealing with the details of daily management of the school. It is a Ministry sponsored school after all."
"What do you want, Minister?" asked Harry with a straight face.
"I want to assign some new teachers at Hogwarts, because most of the teachers are assigned by the last headmaster, and I want to clean up the staff at Hogwarts. Then the Ministry has some new and innovating ideas about some new subjects to teach at Hogwarts..."
"What do you really want, Minister?" interrupted Harry.
The Minister was quiet for a moment and looked slightly disturbed at Harry, because he was interrupted.
"Well," began the Minister.
"Do you want to have control over the school, Minister?" asked Harry.
"Well... uhm... yes!" he stuttered.
"You don't get it," said Harry in a flat tone. "Is there anything else, Minister Fudge?" asked Harry.
Fudge hesitated for a moment.
"Why not?" he asked.
"You know that very well, Minister. I am Lord Gryffindor, I own that school. I am in charge over there, and nobody else. I take care for the security, the management, the teaching and the content what needs to be taught. I do more than my duty, because I will also take care for all students during the vacation, because there is a mad-man running around with the funny name Voldemort."
"But Harry, you are only sixteen years old, and much too young to be headmaster!" exclaimed Fudge.
"I am old enough to be Lord," Harry said with a smirk. "I am also old enough to head the family Bones, which has five seats in the Wizengamot, that thingy where you depend on."
Fudge looked at Harry thoughtfully.
"Let's make a deal," Fudge said.
"What deal?" Harry asked wearily.
"Well, there is the issue of the wedding between Dolores Umbridge and Draco Malfoy," Fudge said carefully. "When you recall the marriage, then I will let you run Hogwarts as you see fit."
"Oh, Dolores Umbridge, she is so pleasant," said Harry with a false smile on his face. "I think that such marriage is written in heaven, Draco will be so pleased."
Fudge winced. "Well, about Draco... he was not so pleased when he spoke with me yesterday night," Fudge said painfully.
"Ah, that is the youth for you. He is much too young to make decisions like that on his own. He does not have a father figure anymore, with his poor daddy in jail. I decided that it was time for him to get a real focus in his life, and who was better suitable for that job?"
Harry did not wait for an answer from Fudge and he continued. "That's right, the only woman who managed to keep Hogwarts falling into the depth of despair, our own Dolores Umbridge."
Fudge stared at him with his mouth open and his eyes wide.
"Minister, you don't have the leverage to make deals here. That marriage continues as it is, and he will marry that woman. If he does not, I have his magic and then I take the head of Dolores Umbridge in court! And about running Hogwarts? I am running the school, not you, nor the Ministry, nobody else. I hope I was very clear about that," Harry said looking Fudge straight into the eyes.
"Percy, let's get to work, "Fudge said loudly. "I think that our meeting was outstanding and profitable, and I have a new law to create and to submit," Fudge said pleasantly when he stood up from his chair. He bowed to Harry, then to the girls and left the salon quickly.
When the doors closed behind the Minister and Percy, everyone started to talk.
Harry looked at Hannah and smiled.
"You see, Harry. With the correct people in your harem, you will be the most powerful person in England," whispered Susan in his ears. "And Hannah and I are girlfriends since we were one year old."
"Why would you choose to change the slavery law, Lord-Baron?" asked Hannah puzzled. "You could ask Fudge anything!"
"I have a serious problem with the slavery at the moment," Harry said looking frustrated. "I understand that it is not possible to remove the slavery law so fast and quickly, but now there will be a law, which gives them hope."
"I think that this law is specially designed for me, Harry," said a smiling Fleur from the open door. Everyone looked at Fleur, who was flanked by ten hazardous looking Goblin warriors.
Behind Fleur was a young girl standing in a very petite flowered sun-dress.
"Gabrielle!" exclaimed Harry and stood up, holding his arms wide open. Gabrielle eyes widened as in unbelief, beamed, ran toward Harry, and jumped in his waiting arms, both screaming like banshees.
Everyone laughed at the scene.
"Wow, you have grown!" exclaimed Harry, putting her down on the floor and looking her over. "All boys will be heartbroken by now," he said teasingly.
"I have only interest in one boy," she said with a sly smile.
Harry blushed and Gabrielle smiled wickedly.
"Gabrielle!" exclaimed her sister. Gabrielle smirked. "We will talk later, 'my Lord'," she said with a big wink.
Harry flustered. Great, another one for the collection, he thought.
Suddenly his eyes fell on three smirking girls. "What?" Harry said annoyed.
"The saviour of the wizarding world did it again," Pansy commented.
Harry glared at Pansy, who joyfully continued with her diatribe. "And what does that slave law do to me? I will be forced to marry the world saviour, the Don Quixote of the wizarding world, the do-gooder of the world, saviour of women, children, slaves, dogs, fleas..."
"Shut it, Parkinson," hissed Ginny. "When I'm married and free, you can polish my shoes."
Pansy looked surprised at the smirking Ginny and sighed dramatically.
The ten Goblinettas marched toward Harry.
"Lord-Baron," said the tallest Goblinetta in front of her platoon. "We are at your service," she barked. Harry nodded, but had no idea what to say.
