She tip-toed downstairs, her parents were arguing again. They noticed her just as she was about to leave the house. 'Pansy come here for a minute' he father yelled at her before she could close the door. 'We got your report card in the mail, you have some explaining to do'. She stumbled into the kitchen and stat down at the chair and started to peel an orange while he went on about how she should be doing better and how her grades weren't good enough and slowly she began to tune him out. 'I do better next term' she falsely assured him, 'You better' he answered in a gruff tone otherwise these will get sold.. He held up the My Chemical Romance tickets and she left the kitchen to go outside. Today it was pretty outside, which it rarely was in early spring. She walked over to the small park which all the neighbor hood kids had abandoned and sat under a nearby tree. She took out her cd player and the headphones she threw in her bag after her fight with Gerard, and she took out her notebook. She pressed play on her CD player without thinking and took out her notebook and wrote. She noticed the familiar shadow coming towards her, although she pretended not to notice. 'Pansy?' he said hoping she'd hear him, she went on writing without looking up. He pressed himself up against the tree and slid down till he was sitting on the dirt next to her. She still ignored him. 'Please talk to me' he said hopefully. She looked over at him. He was drawing a picture in the dirt next to her, and she went back to writing. 'You still need me otherwise I wouldn't be here' he said trying to get her to speak. 'I need the old you' she said coldly, 'I want you back, I miss you,' she paused 'everyone misses you' a single tear spilled down her cheek 'We all need you back. What happened to the old Gerard?' she looked into his hazel eyes 'You used to be so great, like you made us feel like you'd be there no matter what' she paused 'but now its like you don't stay after shows anymore, its like you don't care about us anymore'. She looked at him. 'You know how much I've needed you lately, like someone to listen to me, and tell me everything will be ok, there are a lot of kids like that out there, I'm sure you've met most of them but we all need you Gerard, and somehow you don't get that we still need you." She got up "I know its a lot of pressure, being so much to all of us but you somehow did it before" She put her notebook in her bag "but remember that time, I came home crying, I put on cemetery drive and you somehow made me feel better?' she paused "Well kids like me are still out there, and we still need you, so at least pretend you still need us too". He looked at her. She was the only person who's bluntly told him the truth in a while. He watched her leave yet again. He wasn't going to chase after her again, she needed space, he sat there until she finally pressed stop
