Darkness and light,
Inhabit my mind.
Intertwined, twisted,
Interlaced with each other.
Day and night,
Live in my soul.
Emerge in my dreams,
Remain in my thoughts.
I am good,
I am evil.
Wrapped into one,
I am lost in the shadow.
the light,
Beckons.
It teases,
It seduces with its pale glow.
Promising warmth,
Promising hope.
But because of my dark side,
I can never reach the light.
I am not pure evil,
I am not purely good.
I am both,
I have two sides.
At war with each other,
Neither can win.
Neither can lose,
because they are a part,
A part of me.
I can't let go of either side.
Inhabit my mind.
Intertwined, twisted,
Interlaced with each other.
Day and night,
Live in my soul.
Emerge in my dreams,
Remain in my thoughts.
I am good,
I am evil.
Wrapped into one,
I am lost in the shadow.
the light,
Beckons.
It teases,
It seduces with its pale glow.
Promising warmth,
Promising hope.
But because of my dark side,
I can never reach the light.
I am not pure evil,
I am not purely good.
I am both,
I have two sides.
At war with each other,
Neither can win.
Neither can lose,
because they are a part,
A part of me.
I can't let go of either side.
