Kat's POV:

I was almost ready for the concert. I was carefully applying my makeup the way my mom had taught me to before she passed away 2 weeks after my father. It was perfect. My outfit somewhat resembled the one the girl wore on Build God, Then We'll Talk, I even got the teardrop just right. I was ready, completely ready, and now waiting on Eden and Evie. They were almost done. The venue was only 10 minutes away from the hotel we were staying in for the month and the concert didn't start for another hour. We decided to get there early and surprise the guys. Ashley-Sarah was waiting for us by the door and I greeted her with a smile.

"I knew I could depend on you to be ready on time Kat." I smiled and her remark and simply replied, "Well I'm not slow like those losers. And I'm glad you're ready on time too." She smiled back at me. Ashley was my step sister and we've become fairly close. The others came out closely resembled to the band members they liked. Even Ashley was dressed like Jon. Was I the only one that thought the girl was completely gorgeous? Even my hair resembled her's, but I had other colors in mine.

We arrived at the venue exactly 45 minutes before the show started. When we got there we found out I not only got front row tickets, but I got backstage passes too. Well happy birthday Evie, this should be the best one yet. We took our passes and went backstage where I immediately started looking for Ryan.

Ryan's POV:

When we arrived at the venue to do sound check I couldn't keep my mind off of Kat. I continuously looked for her to come through the doors and messed up everything I played. Soon after I had to change into my costume, then wait in my dressing room for the people that got backstage passes. Every second sitting in that room was spent thinking about how beautiful she looked, even in a towel. The next thing I knew the door was opened and a girl resembling the same one in Build God, Then We'll Talk was standing there smiling. That smile, it was Kat. I could just tell. I finally got to see her.

"Hey there Ryan, I'm Kattianna Michelle, the contest winner."

"Oh yea, hey Kat. You were at the hotel right? In the towel?" I saw her blush and I smiled right away. "You look beautiful. Come sit down, I don't bite." She unsteadily walked towards me and sat down. "So, tell me about yourself Kat."

Kat's POV:

I walked into the next room I could find and sure enough Ryan was in it. I opened the door and just stood there for a minute before speaking. "Hey there Ryan, I'm Kattianna Michelle, the contest winner." That was a bold move on my behalf.

"Oh yea, hey Kat. You were at the hotel right? In the towel?" I blushed and my face felt hot. He saw me? Oh shit. "You look beautiful." Did he just say I was beautiful? Oh God. "Come sit down, I don't bite." I slowly but surly walked towards the couch he sat on and sat down next to him. "So, tell me about yourself Kat." Wow, he was so polite. Nothing like the whore he was on stage with Brendon. I eased myself somewhat when I figured this out and began telling him about myself.

"Well my full name is Kattianna Mishelae Edwards and I attend Bella Vista High School and am a senior. I was just recently voted Valedictorian and my parents died when I was a freshman. Afterwards I was sent to live with my step mom and step sister Ashley-Sarah and they are very nice people. When I was a junior I moved in with Eden and Evie and now here I am telling all of this to you. Simple enough?" I heard him laugh a bit, but when I said my parents died I could hear the sincerity in his breath. Interesting right? I'd say so.

"Yea that's simple enough. How'd your parents die?" That... wasn't the dreaded question I thought it would be.

"Well they were in a bad car accident and my dad died on impact. My mom, however, lived for 2 more weeks on life support then decided she couldn't keep living without my dad in her life so they pulled the plug and that was that. I bet you're asking yourself how I have a step mom if my mom and dad were still together. Well the thing is he was having an affair that she didn't know about and started a family behind our backs. So yea, there went a whole 3 years of my life I'll never get back."

"You don't seem that disappointed."

"I'm not. I hated my parents. My mom abuse me when she was drunk and somehow I sorta knew my dad was cheating but I never cared to know because he abandond me when I was a baby then came back when I was 5. So I never really cared for him in the first place. I only needed him for money." He laughed at me. Ryan Ross laughed at me. Was my life seriously that funny? Oh wait, yea it was. Everyday with me was funny in some way.

"Well at least you're with better people?" He cared? What is this, Oprah?

"And you care why Ross?" Now I'm curious. Nobody ever cared except friends.

"Well you seem like a nice person, and a beautiful girl like yourself shouldn't be hurt by careless people like that.
