Excellent start - I haven't read many stories where the Dark Lord was er, sympathetic. You've done it in a believable and interesting way.

Thanks! I had this idea a while ago (this story's been up on the other site I archive on, I just moved it here yesterday), and I was wondering, "What would it take to make Riddle less evil, and Harry less ethical?" This was what I came up with.
