First, I was totally pissed off with over-reacting Patrick (even though it was a tad understandable). I mean, she's his wife for christ sake.
Then I was totally loving Patrick sticking up for her.
And THEN big protective Patrick just made me weak-kneed.
I love your Patrick. I want him.
Altogether now 'Hump the Stump'

You always know when to pull out the drama. It was fantastic. I love angry Patrick too. He makes me blush. I think that Patrick's reaction was expected. I mean, you read something about your wife go to trial for murder...that's huge. It's only rational that he get upset. It's good that he relaxed and listened to her, though. That's a good husband. And the last lines of this story...can you say 'AWWWEEE'? So sweet Katy! So Sweet Indeed.Moving In, Moving Up, Moving On

HA. I rated this. pats shoulder
So...
His eyes couldn't take in the information quicker, and in style of the British papers, couldn't make out the exact truth of the story of Petra Fairfax and Ethan Riddley's case. In one article she was a cold blooded murderer, another she was the helpless victim, some where completely neutral. -> If that's any consolation at all, that's a central element of newspapers all over the world, Patrick.
The way you described Patrick freaking out was superb. I was thinking what an asshole he is all the time because he didn't even know jack. He should've talked to her first before jumping to conclusions (based on unreliable newspapers). Then I got to thinking that he married someone that went to prison for killing someone. Yes, even I might be scared a little bit. Everytime I am amazed by your ability to picture real humans, it's the hardest thing in writing, at least for me.
You get an A. Um, A+.Moving In, Moving Up, Moving On

This chapter was especially emotional- and you wrote it so well!!! I can't imagine the anger you would feel toward your partner when you find out they were actually in jail. I mean, no one expects to marry a convict, do they?
Anyway, I'm glad Patrick didn't just automatically jump from confusion to absolute support. That would be a difficult thing to cope with.
Ok ok, well, fantastic as always, and I shall keep reading!
