No More Hurt
~Cloud's POV~
The last moments of Sephiroth's life faded away as he returned Kadaj to the planet.
The remnant looked so fragile that moment as he realized that he was going to die. That he was not going to help Mother.
I tried my best to comfort him in his time of need. I did not want him to die, but I had to destroy Sepiroth.
As I cradled him in my arms, i looked down at his peaceful face, at his eyes to see if he understood that I had to do it. That it was the only way.
There it was...
He understood. I saw it in the depths of his soul.
He called to me. I loved his voice...I wish that I could hear it everyday.
I watched as he said his last words. I wanted to tell him my feelings, but I just listened and watched.
The weather shared my sorrow: It began to rain.
The sky cried because I wouldn't...couldn't...
Kadaj reached for the sky, as if trying to hold it in his hand, one last time.
He was slowly picked up from my arms, joining the lifestream, Aeris, and Zack.
Again, I watched, but this time, I whispered three small words that had significant meaning.

I do not know if he heard me that day, but I'm glad that he's at peace.
I laid down to sleep only to see him in my dreams.
He whispered back, "I love you, too."
