How could I have been so blind?

I never noticed the gross way his hair clung to his face with sweat every time he played.

The way his face often had stubble that appeared even after I could've sworn he'd shaved an hour before.

How his fingers were bent and calloused from years of pressing into the guitar frets.

I actually told him I liked the way his veins separated his arms into little sections because of how much they stuck out!

There's also that awful way his skin bulges at his hips like his pants are too tight.

I used to look at his skin and love the way you could always see something different, but it's so cluttered with trash now, it hurts my eyes. I thought the un-arted skin was so smooth looking and perfectly colored, but there are so many blemishes...

He's not a model, he's not flawless, but it's perfect, and it kills me.
