Jade didn't know what had come over him, but he was just compelled to do it. He had to kiss him. He was so beautiful and he'd missed him so much. He just wanted to comfort him and it had just gone out of control. Davey didn't push him away, but he went rigid, and he knew that he was making a terrible mistake. He pulled away.
"Am I interrupting something?" Tyler asked, standing in the doorway.
He turned to look at Tyler, wondering if he could've possibly walked in at a worse time. Davey made this horrified guilty face.
"What are you doing here?" Jade asked, jumping up and grabbing Tyler by the arm, pulling him out of the room and closing the door behind them.
"What are you doing here?!" he repeated his question.
"Davey said I could come," he shrugged.
"What?! Davey doesn't know what you did, but I swear to God I am going to tell him!"
"No you won't," he said, coolly.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Because if you do, this is going straight to the press."
He opened his phone and showed him a picture of he and Davey's kiss.
He gasped and lurched at the phone but Tyler snatched it away before he could get at it. Jade jumped on him trying to pry the phone away from him. Tyler ran up onto one of the sofas and Jade attacked, taking him down, but he just rolled his body onto the phone. Just then Adam and Hunter walked in to find them wrestling on the sofa..
"Hey! What's going on here?!" Hunter yelled.
He and Adam dragged the two apart.
"Give it to me!" Jade yelled.
"Give him what?" Adam asked.
"Yeah, tell him, Jade," Tyler said, with a smug look.
"Fuck you! I'm gonna fucking kill you! If I see it anywhere you're dead!"
Tyler just smiled innocently.
"Maybe it's best I leave. Give my regards to Davey?" he said, and walked out.
"What was that all about?" Adam asked.
"That guy is bad news. He's a venomous little snake and I wish I'd never met him."
"Ohhhh-kay," Hunter said, lost. But he knew Jade and he knew he wasn't going to get anything out of him right then.
"We heard something about recording some tracks," Adam said. "Are we still doing that?"
"Yeah. Davey's in back."
"Then let's get started."
They spent several hours working and when they wrapped up, Davey pulled Jade aside.
"Jade..."
"I know. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have. I couldn't help it."
"Please try to help it? In fact, you're going to have to help it. I'm trying like hell to hold my family together right now, and I can't have anything else - anyone else - getting in the way. Even you."
He understood what Davey was trying to say, but that didn't make it hurt any less. The fact that he would always come second to Litzy was something he wasn't prepared to deal with. He knew he would have to learn, but it wasn't going to be easy.
"I know," he said, dropping his head. "I understand."
"Jade, you know I love you," he said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I know. And I know how you feel about Litzy and I won't ever do anything like that again."
Davey nodded, looking satisfied and left with his baby.
Jade headed to his car feeling about 2 feet tall. He decided to go out that night and party.
That night he was going to forget all about his feelings for Davey Havok.
For once in his life Davey was dreading going home. He was dreading talking to Litzy about the articles and he was agonizing over the kiss. He kept blaming himself, thinking that he must've done something to provoke it or that he should've pulled away or that he should've reacted differently. Even though he hadn't initiated it he still felt like he had cheated on her somehow. But was a kiss cheating? He decided that since he would be heartbroken if she told him she had kissed someone else, it was definitely cheating. But he hadn't initiated it or even encouraged it. Then again, he hadn't stopped it either. He just hadn't wanted to hurt Jade's feelings or anything, he meant to handle the situation delicately. That was all.
Still, he was in a bind. Because he knew that if he didn't tell Litzy what had happened he would always have it lingering over his head. But he also knew that if he did tell her there was a chance that she would not believe him. Or that she would believe him but be extremely angry anyway, and be mad at Jade and that would just be another thing tearing the band apart. By the time he was almost home he had decided to tell her. After all, this was Litzy, the same person he had confided many things in over the years. And she had always supported him and trusted him. Now should be no different. She deserved to know just so that there wouldn't be any problems in the future.
When he got home he found Litzy was back, and looking like a 50's pinup girl as she often did. Only now even more so. She'd gotten Betty Page bangs and something was different about her eyebrows. It looked nice. Really nice. He got the strong urge to just jump on her, and was probably only deterred by the fact that he was holding Julian.
"Hi," she purred, obviously in a good mood. She even had a nice juicy kiss waiting for him. How he loved those pretty red lips. "How're my two favorite boys?"
"Good. Listen -"
"Oh my God, Davey wait I just have to tell you. I had so much fun today. I found this quaint little lingerie shop and I got something you will not believe."
"Oh. Really?" he asked.
The bad news could wait. Lingerie was definitely important. Well, when it was on her it was.
"Yeah. It's so hot, you will love it. I tried it on and I just had to take pictures. Ha! It's all satiny with these little lace ruffles and it makes my ass look so good. And I bought those nylons you like with the lines up the back -"
"Litzy, you know what? That sounds so awesome. And right now, all I really wanna do is tell you to go put it on for me..."
"Buuuut?"
He thought it over. She looked so excited, she really was psyched over this underwear. Meaning it must really be something, because she rarely proclaimed that she really looked good in anything. Which meant she must look spectacular in it.
He figured Armageddon could wait. At least for a couple hours.
"Nothing. Show me."
"Yay! Okay, give me ten minutes."
Trista took Jules for a diaper change and he headed upstairs to the bedroom to await the revealing of this satiny masterpiece. When he saw it, he was speechless. He hadn't ever really seen anything like it. It was a golden yellow bustier with black fringe accents on the bust and black sheer satiny panties with ruffles around the edges on the back. She even had matching golden yellow and black garters on both thighs, accentuating those lovely thigh-hi stockings with the lines down the back. She also had on black platform shoes that buckled around the ankles. It was all just an instant turn-on. If he hadn't been sitting on the bed he might've fallen over. Aside from the fact that the ensemble was really sexy, it was kinda sweet, too. And it really made him realize how much he appreciated the female form. Every single curve on her body was perfect. And she was right, it did make her ass look fantastic. Or maybe her fantastic ass just made everything else look good.
"Well?" she smiled, putting her hands on her hips and striking a demure stance. "What do you think?"
"I'm...overwhelmed with thoughts right now."
She laughed, and he just couldn't get over how pretty she was. "You are the sexiest woman in the world."
"Oh please," she blushed. "Whatever."
"No seriously. You just have no idea. You are so beautiful. I am so lucky. I can't even believe that I'm looking at this right now."
"Stop it, you just like to flatter me."
"Only because you're insanely hot."
"Am I?" she asked, like that was just too good to be true.
"Whoever told you otherwise was a liar. Litzy, you are gorgeous. Just plain gorgeous. Now come here."
She grinned and hopped in his lap.
"Wow," he said, running a hand up her thigh and leaning in to take in the sweet smell of her perfume and let his nose brush the soft skin of her neck. "Perfect."
He had her keep the whole outfit on, but in the end it was a shame because those delicate panties got ripped in a moment of lust and impatience. She didn't mind, she was in one of her extra excited moods where everything turned her on. And where once wasn't enough. They were both exhausted afterwards, and he didn't intend to go to sleep but he woke up a couple of hours later slightly confused.
'Damn. She must've knocked me out,' he thought to himself, amused. Normally she was the one to always pass out after getting some lovin.
He was feeling as enamored with her as ever and wanted nothing more than to find her and hug her. He checked everywhere but she was gone and so was the baby. Trista said they'd left only minutes ago.
"Well did she tell you where she was going?"
"No, she didn't say a word."
"What was she doing before she left?"
"I don't know, Davey, she was on the computer, but I don't know what she was doing."
"Hm. That's strange."
He called her cell to see where she was going but she didn't answer. He decided to work a little bit more on one of the songs they were recording earlier. He ended up doing that for awhile without realizing the time. When he checked it was 10:30. He called Litzy again. No answer. He left a message.
"Hi honey, did you not charge your phone again? You know I hate that. Why have a cellphone if nobody can call you? I want to talk to you. Well, you must be on your way home, so I'll see you soon. I love you."
He called 12 more times between 10:30 and 12:00 and never got an answer. By then he was just plain scared. What if something happened? He called his parents just to check and see if they'd heard from her, but they hadn't. They were also very worried that she wasn't home at that hour. They called everyone they could think of, friends and acquaintances, favorite haunts, hospitals and finally the Police. But the Police said they couldn't do anything for 24 hours.
"Did you two have a fight?" the detective asked. "A disagreement? Anything like that?"
"No. Everything is fine."
"What was the last conversation you had with each other like?"
"Well, the last time we were together we weren't exactly talking. If you catch my drift."
The detective got a real kick out of that one.
"I understand how you might be worried, Davey, but in my experience these things always turn out fine. I'm sure they're both fine. But if you still haven't heard from her by morning -"
"By morning? What if she got kidnapped or something? She could be dead by morning!"
"Listen, Da -"
"No, you listen. I know what you're thinking - that this is just some kind of domestic problem, maybe she left me or maybe she's sneaking around. But I'm telling you everything between us is fine and even if it wasn't, she would never just leave and take my son. She would never do something that cruel. Something is seriously wrong. You have to help me find her."
"Alright look, I'll see what I can do. I'm gonna give you call in 15 minutes, okay?"
"Okay. I'll be waiting."
When he hung up a thought occurred to him. It was time to do some good old fashioned stalking. He got on his laptop and looked up the credit card transactions. He saw all the purchases she'd made that day (and was quite stunned that his favorite lingerie had cost them $4,000 big ones) but it was the very last transaction he saw that made him confused. It just had a merchant number and two AA's. He called the credit card company.
"There's a charge on my account that I don't recognize. Can you tell me what it is?"
"Of course, sir. Give me one moment," the agent said, and he heard clicking of keys in the background. "Sir, that charge was to American Airlines."
'Oh. Duh,' he thought. The two A's should've been an indicator.
"To go where?" he asked, not wanting to believe what he now feared in his heart.
"You'd have to ask American for that information, sir."
He hung up confused and logged onto American Airlines website. He entered his card number and it pulled up the itenerary.
