this has been nicely done so far.... most stories that incorporate both harry and lord or the rings, seem to forget or ignore the hurdle that is language and also culture.
i've only seen teh lord of the ring movies, so i don't have a lot of background knowledge, but how long did frodo and sam take to get to the elves, and from there to when they were caught by farimir.
what wil harry be able to achive in the mean time.
and will you keep the side plot of the harry potter universe going, with dumbles and teh order searching for harry.

Yes, the HP side plot will be important. Perhaps a scene every other chapter or so, keeping pace.
To be truthful, most of my LotR knowledge is from the movies, though I'm drawing some things from the books and relying heavily on info sites for the rest. Don't spend too long thinking about what would normally happen in LotR, though. Things are going to change...The Boy and the Ring
