Father where ever you may be, know I hold no grudges
I just wish you were there when I was younger to witness all the smudges
Of finger paints
And learning life lessons
Taking Easter pictures with Mom in my best Sunday dresses
To witness all the ballet recitals and piano routines
To witness my childhood before I became this tortured teen
Father where ever you may be, know I hold no grudges
I know it was probably not easy to make your decision and be constantly judged
I just wish you were here today to witness all the sweet sixteens and semi formals
To laugh about my jokes of being semi-normal
To see report cards littered with A's and B's
And to congratulate me on not racking up cell phone fees
Father where ever you may be, know I hold no grudges
I'm not mad at you
I found things to be my crutches
To get through the pain of not knowing my other half
I hope you don't regret this peice of your past
If you stuck around I hope you would've been proud of me
Father where ever you may be
