Thanks for reading and commenting, I appreciate it. I hope I can keep up the quality of the story, chapters keep seem to be growing larger as I write them and making this first year a lot longer than I imagined when I first thought up the story. The Potters and Dumbledore's Secret

An interesting story so far. I'm not sure why Harry got Ron to go help him with the troll, they are not such famous friend as his many girlfriends.
It is interesting how Harry is uniteing the houses. Will his friendship be able to divert the darker aspects of the main timeline's future?
Please continue.

Thanks for reading and commenting. To answer your question, that was one of the challenges I had when thinking up the relationships between characters. I wanted to keep Ron and Hermione in Harry's life just not feature parts. He's a bit more mindful because of his environment which led to wondering how Hermione was doing. He got Ron to help him because he blames Ron for putting Hermione in that situation and feels like he should redeem himself. Harry didn't tell anyone because he's 11 and didn't think about it. I wanted Harry to be diverse and be a lot more popular and around with the rest of the school. I hope I get a chance to explore this story fully. The Potters and Dumbledore's Secret

So will Ginny be inseparable for sleepovers, too? The two of them could share him...
drags mind out of gutter
I can sortof understand your explanation for taking Ron, but it's still a bit odd. He has more good friends, so he could easily have gotten an older student or 2 that could actually be able to help without a fluke. Nym, Fred, and George, for example. It seems to me like taking Ron so he could make up for his mistake would take more thinking than taking better friends that are better at magic anyways.Author's response
Despite the being 'owl pals' Ginny will still be shy with Harry for awhile now. The meeting at Kings Cross was their first since they were too young to remember. NOw in Year 6 ... lol. With Harry, he never even thought that they'd cross paths with the troll. But he knew Hermione didn't even know so she had the chance of wandering into it. Ron happened to be the first friend he ran into (he was sitting in the Gryffindor section after all) and he felt Ron should help since it was Ron's fault. Doing your part, and take responsibility for ones actions was definitely something instilled in Harry at a young age. Harry never would've thought he needed someone stronger.
