We were off to our next location, Chicago. The buses were a little crowded. (Mostly because Pete insisted on going in our bus.)
Some people were sleeping on the floor…but we were all ok. Well, I was because I got to sleep on a bunk.
“How long does it take to get to Chicago?” Loretta asked.
“12 more hours.” Pete said, quickly.
“12 hours!!”
“Yup.” He smiled at her, and blushed.
“Wow Pete, I’ve never seen you blush before.” I said.
“What—I wasn’t—I just am—it’s hot in here!!”
He walked away quickly.
“That wasn’t very nice!” Evie said, punching my shoulder.
“Oww, god, you violent person!”
Evie’s POV
“I am not violent!!”
I punched him again.
“Oh, of course, your not, you just keep punching me because you love me.”
“Exactly.”
“Flirting…” Loretta said.
“WE ARE NOT!!” Brendon and I said at the same time.
“Ok, whatever.”
Loretta’s POV
I went to the fridge.
Don’t tell me there’s no Coke again…
Damn.
I kicked the side of the fridge.
Owww.
“That looked like it hurt.”
“It did.”
I sat down next to Pete.
“You can have some of my coke.”
“YOU HAVE SOME!!! GIMMIE!!”
“Whoa, ok.”
He handed me a can.
“Thank you.”
I gave him a peck on the cheek.
“Hey Loretta…”
“You can call me Lor.”
“Ok, Lor I was wondering if you maybe wanted to—“
“Lor you have to come here!!”
Lexi grabbed my hand and yanked me out of the room.
“What?!”
“Look, I found a penny.”
“You found a penny.”
She nodded.
“You found a penny? THAT’S WHAT WAS SOO IMPORTANT!!?”
“Yep.”
