'Oh my God, it;s gorgeous!' Breathed Natasha , staring in awe at the sparkling diamond on Sara's finger.
'I know!' Sqealed Sara, a smile plastered to her face.
'I can't believe your getting married!'
'I know!' She sqealed again.
'To Jon!'
'I know!'
Both girls clasped hands and jumped around in a circle sqealing together.
I watched them with a smile as i strummed a few gentle chords on the guitar resting on my lap.
We were having a party to celeberate Jon and Sara's engagement.
It was late in the evening.
Sara's new fiance' had already zonked out on the sofa.
She said to just leave him be.
'We have to call Holly!' I heard Natasha gabbled excitedly.
'Oh, your right! She'll be so phsyced!' Said Sara, picking up the phone.
Natasha came over to the sofa and joined me.
She had a flushed look on her face.
'Can you believe their getting married?' She beamed.
'I know' I chuckled 'it's so wierd.'
'Wierd? It's soooo romantic' She said, putting her hand to her heart. I smiled.
'So are you going to be a bridesmaid?' I asked.
'Yep. Who's gonna be the best man?'
'No idea.' I said shaking my head 'Spencer, Brendon and me were all fighting over it earlier.'
She laughed.
I love her laugh.
Natasha Phillips has been my best friend ever scince highschool.
I missed her like crazy whilst we were on tour.
Just after we started touring she moved from Las Vegas to Chicago,
very near where Jon and his new fiance were to later move in together.
So now that we're starting to create our second album , Jon has had us stay in a
chicago hotel nearby whilst he spends 'much needed qaulity time' with Sara before we
start recording.
Which suits Spencer and i as we get to see more of our old school friend.
It's only supposed to be temporary. Brendon, Spencer and I are leaving for Las Vegas again in a few days time.
And Jon will be visiting shortly after and then returning to Chicago again to make wedding plans.
And then only 3 months later , everybody is going to Las Vegas for the wedding, as Sara's family live their too
and Jon and Sara are hoping to be happily married and settled before we have to leave for our next tour again.
'It will work won't it?' Natasha said suddenly, biting her lip.
'What?' I asked, confused.
'Their marraige. I mean, Jon's famous, he'll be on tour a lot , what if-'
'It'll be fine' I interupted. 'There are loads of rockstars, more famous than Jon who have been happily married
for ages.'
'I guess your right.' She nodded 'But you know, i wouldn't be able to do it.'
'You wouldn't?' i gulped.
'No, i mean, i'm sure Sara would be able to cope, she's strong, but i think , if it were me, it would be too hard.'
'But, what do you mean?' I asked, agitatedly.
'I just wouldn't be able to cope with not seeing him for so long.' She sighed.
'You cope with out seeing me for a long time.' I frown 'Or is that different?'
'No, of course not, i just, Ryan ,your my friend. My best friend. I love you- like a brother.
But most women have a husband who they spend the rest of their lives with. Who they see everyday.
When i have a husband, i'd want that too.'
'Oh'
I placed the guitar on the floor, looking down.
I don't know why that had depressed me as much as it did.
It's not like i'm gonna marry her.
She doesn't even know i love her.
Well she does, she just thinks it's as a sister.
But it's so much more than that.
I realised just before i left to go on tour, but that was too late.
And besides, she doesn't feel the same.
She just said it. She loves me like a brother.
She couldn't make it anymore clearer;
I'm never going to be with her.
I looked up again into her beautiful bright blue eyes.
She smiled at me, but jumped when an arm snaked around her shoulders.
I frowned.
It was her boyfriend, Steven.
The main reason as to why i have not yet told her my feelings for her.
To be honest, i hate him.
Yes, most probably because he is the boyfriend of the girl i love. That causes obvious rifts.
But he seems really stuck-up to me. You know, in love with himself.
'You enjoying the party?' He asked, placing a kiss on Natasha's cheek, making my blood boil.
She nodded.
'Hey think about it babe.' He said 'maybe someday this could be us.'
He kissed her again and walked off to get another drink.
I frowned after him.
I hope he wasn't already thinking of proposing to her.
I really don't know what i'd do.
Well...i'd have to tell her of course.
I'd regret forever it didn't.
I felt sticky lips peck my cheek.
They belonged to problem number 2; My girlfriend.
I know what your thinking.
I'm in love with Natasha, why the hell do i have a girlfriend?
I don't know.
I guess because it just feels safe.
Whilst Natasha has Steven, i have Keltie.
She's just there, y'know?
I definately don't harbour the same feelings for her as i do for Natasha.
But she's someone to wake up to in the morning.
She gives me the type of attention i wish i had from Natasha.
'Um, i'm gonna go see if Spencer's willing to have a game of guitar hero against me...' Said Natasha, quickly getting up.
'Oh...OK'
Keltie started trailing kisses up my neck as she left.
'Hey RyRy?' She said.
'Yeah?' I mumbled.
''Do you ever...think about, maybe, the possibility of us getting married someday?'
I gulped.
Seriously what is this obsession with marriage all of a sudden?
'I-i gotta go pee.' I said, standing up and making my way to the bathroom, leaving a
startled Keltie still standing there.
I went entered the bathroom, ran the tap and splashed water on my face.
What Keltie had just said had been a wake-up call.
I needed to tell her. And i needed to tell her soon.
If your a main character you'll be mentioned by the next chapter =]
