Muet

Actually, I would've taken the title as an anagram of "mute", which would nicely fit the subject. Beyond that, I'll have to admit/claim ignorance as the main item any online search for "muet" turns up is totally inappropriate to this story (Malaysian University English Test) and the others, like "Miami University Equiestrian Team" are equally unappropo.
An rather interesting 'short bit", though and with the seeds of some fascinating plot bunnies.Author's response
And you got it right! Muet is French for mute. Yay!
Demand your one-shot (the who/what/pairing - and I warn you that I enjoy odd pairings. Also, it probably won't be fluffy) and I'll get it out as soon as I write it.
Those fascinating plot bunnies? Totally explored in Muet's companion, Taceo.
Btw, Taceo was a requested continuation of Muet by a title-winner. I do work to please the guidelines - I have many satisfied readers out there.

Awesome story. The reference to Japanese mythology was the red string, correct?Author's response
Yes, it is! Who/what would you like your one-shot to be about?

Very interesting, and a bit sad. I love Luna and Harry/Luna, but to see that he'll never return her love for him....very sad.
Thanks for writing.

the two things asked the title i think it's french.... not sure... but that's my only guess
the red string of fate i know about because of my readings of TV TROPES
red strings tied from pinky to thumb (alternatively pinky to pinky or thumb to thumb) of those who are fated to be together in some way or another from the japanees mythos
