~Chapter 2~
Kim's POV: I had the most awesome day yesterday. Want to know why? Well it was because I
spent the day going to the movies with my best friend and her ass hole of a boyfriend. Why was
that good? Cause we didn't have to sit near him. With Bri being with him, I never get to see her
anymore, he doesn't allow it. That pisses me the fuck off. She found out last night though, that
him and his family are leaving for a week to Ireland! That makes us so happy now, we get the
week to hang out! "Kim I'm here! He left like an hour ago, so I'm packed for the whole week!"
she says coming up the stairs. "Good! Cause as soon as you put your things down, we are going
to the freaking mall, cause I have been saving money for you! AND you're going to take it and
like it, and we're going to have some real fun!" I said throwing the box towards her. "Bu.." she
started to say. "Uh, uh, no freaking buts! Take the money now!" I yelled jokingly. "Alright, I'm
not going to win this one, but it will feel nice going to the mall" she said with a sigh. We headed
out the door and drove to the mall. "Hey, maybe there will be some hot guys here, some NICE
hot guys, hint, hint," I push her jokingly. "Funny part is, I know you're joking, sad part is, I hope
there are! I really need to get rid of Josh, and I mean quick. But I'm so scared! After being with
Josh, I wonder if I'm doomed to guys like him for the rest of my life." she said quite sadly. "Oh
my god! No you're not! You deserve MUCH better than that, trust me sweety. Now lets go have
some fun!" I said giving her a hug.
We walked and shopped. 3 stores that we went in though, she stared at a group of boys
all the time. "Alright Bri! You have been staring at the same group of boys for like 3 stores now.
What's the deal." I asked her. "Well, you remember that group that I use to listen to, Dream
Street?" "Um, yea what about them?" I asked frustrated. "Well DUH! That's them!" She said
kind of excitedly. "Wow, you are weird, but maybe that could be a sign for your wishes to come
true and get rid of that dumb ass boyfriend of yours." I said with a laugh. "Um, you think?" she
said looking at them. "Well yea, of course!" I said reassuringly. Her eyes lit up, and I was hoping
that I was right. She was way too shy to go up to them, so I grabbed her hand and started heading
over towards them. "Kim I will kill you! Let me go, what are you doing!?" She yelled at me in a
whisper to not cause a scene. "Hey guys!" I said cheerfully. "Um, hey!" they all said back. "Um,
alright this may sound weird, I have never listened to you guys before in my life. Don't take it as
a bad compliment, but moving on. Could we hang with you guys, or are you guys leaving?"
"Well, we're not leaving at this moment, but I guess you two could hang with us. I'm Chris,
that's Jesse, Frankie, Matt, and Greg." Chris said introducing his friends. "Hey!" The other four
said. "See Bri, that wasn't so bad, was it? Oh, and my name is Kim!" I said. "Um, easy for you to
say!" she said turning red. All eyes were on her now. "Aww, it's not that bad!" Greg said
jokingly putting his arm around her. "So what brings you two to this mall?" Matt asked, laughing
at his question cause we could ask them the same thing. Bri and I just looked at each other in
horror and I came up with a different excuse quickly. "Um well, we were just bored, um, you
guys? What brings you all here?" I said calming down. "Pretty much the same, and plus as you
know, well maybe Briana would know, we don't get to hang together much." Jesse said as we
walked into a store. "Actually she would. She spotted you guys out, so thank her!" I said as we
all laughed. Then we headed towards the food court. We all got something to eat and we found a
table. Greg seemed to be really into Bri, and hopefully Bri was into him. "Now I couldn't help
notice, but when we asked you two what you were doing at the mall, you two just looked at each
other like Oh fuck! What was that about?" Frankie asked not trying to be rude. I was about to
come up with something, but Bri stopped me.
"Alright, I'll tell you the truth!" She sighed. Greg just put his arm around her, and she
seemed to relax. "Well you see I have this boyfriend.." she started, and Greg quickly took his
arm away, and all the guys laughed except the two girls. "Oh no! You can put your arm there,
you'll hear why in a minute." so he did as he was told. "Well his name is Josh. He was really
sweet the first few months. He's my first boyfriend, yea I know, how lame, but whatever. He all
of a sudden started drinking and doing drugs and his whole attitude changed. He started
becoming abusive. I hate it. Though every time I try to leave his sorry ass, he threatens the hell
out of me, and I'm scared to go to anyone, but I guess so is he cause he cut off pretty much all
my contacts. I haven't hung out with Kim in like forever. And everyday I pray that something
will go my way and he will just leave me or something. The best I got is that he's gone for the
next week to see family in Ireland. And that's my pathetic story! I have been with this ass for
like 2 years now! I feel like such a loser!" Bri said putting her head on the table. All the guys
gave her a hug and reassured her that she wasn't stupid or anything. Greg seemed really
concerned. I mean he doesn't know her from a hole in the wall, but he's putting his arm around
her like he knows her and everything. It's really sweet, and I really do hope that story kind of
gave him good insight into her life.
