Another Lost Cause

by camogurl_23 3 reviews

This poem is about all the lost hopes & dreams of people. You spend your life on wishing for things to happen, but nothing will happen if you dont do something yourself.

Do you think you should live or die
As you look up at the swollen sky
Thinking about the shooting stars
And wondering why you didn’t go far
You wished and you wished
But you put too much trust
In those luminous diamonds
That shot out with lust
And because of that
You’ve lost too much time
Wasted away, too many days
On stars, lucky pennies or dimes
And in your sadness
Your poor heart begins to throb
As you listen to the lonely darkness
The weeping moon gives out a sob
You didn’t get anywhere
You realize with great shock
No us trying to wish
That those hands will freeze on that old clock
But, now
You look up into the sky
Wasting hopeless minutes
On that once dreamt of, fairytale guy
But this is not a fairytale
With a happy ending
And because, you believed it was
Your happiness is pending
Now you see
That your life is on pause
The sky closes its eyes and says
“Just another lost cause”
