Ah.....I enjoyed reading these latest chapters very much! The deepening relationship between May and Charlie is a joy to read. Sigh...it's too bad that May's father let tradition damage his relationship with his daughter. I wonder if May's mother would have held the same attitude towards a son? From the way that May spoke of her mother and her maternal grandparents it seems unlikely. I look forward to the next chapters, paticulary the formal meeting with May's parents.....and in the future the one with Charlie's. If Molly has a problem with Fleur, what's she going to think of May? Chuckle.....but then neither of her sons would let her stand between them and the person they loved....and I can't see Fleur or May backing down either! Thanks again for the recent chapters! The Bulldog and the Archer

Hi Teresa!
I'm glad you enjoyed the new chapters. Overall, I think that May's relationship with her father, though not ideal in any way, is still very salvageable. Oddly enough, it might just take the opinion of an outsider, like Charlie, to crumble those final walls.
No, Mayumi's mother would never have even felt that pressure in their society, which is/was so male dominant historically. She would have cherished either one, and furthermore, I feel that there would certainly have been no shame to having a son, as she was marrying a Zark pureblood. Keep in mind, that as a member of the Sato bloodline, with the history of having females born into each new generation, although the bloodlines can be traced back, each female who marries takes on a new name.
A new chapter will be up very soon, and the next after that is still in rough draft. The dinner should be the chapter after that one. Honestly, I am having problems with that one, as I want the story to reflect as much accuracy in regards to an 'informal' dinner would have in Japanese society. In addition, I have no personal experiences to draw upon, as I never had to experience the awkwardness of a 'meet the parents' dinner!
I will be posting another finished story soon, in which May makes her first appearance at the Burrow!
Thanks for the interest, and the reviews, Teresa. I truly appreciate it!

Hi Jim!
First off... Mellony Robintton? And she liked music? lmao! I like the two letters, especially the one from Dumbledore. The old man really knows everything - obviously he doesn't need a cloak to be invisible, or the portraits are his own personal spies - who knows? The only sure thing is... even dying, he likes gossiping. lol.
Charlie has to meet May's parents and Lord Aramys, eh? But he's not under pressure of course. It seems to me that you like torturing your characters too. lol. About characters, you're doing good with all your OCs.
I'm glad you decided to keep on writing this story.

Thanks Anne!
Yes, you are the first to find one of my tribs to A.McC. The letters are a nice way to ground the story in the HP world, reminding us that all Heck is about to break loose back in England.
C'mon, the Harry Potter books are all about tor.. I mean, angst. (smile) Thank you for your kind comments about my O/C's!
Me too!
