I've got a post card in my hand
From god knows where
And I don't even give a damn
But I know you're never coming home
You said one, too many times before
You'd never leave me
But I found out once or twice before
Lies are easy
The hardest thing I do
When I walk in the room
Is trusting and believing
Everything you say is true
One day I swear
You're going to tell me you'll be here
And it won't mean a thing
I'll be long gone
Take this turn, this time for your heart to break
And i'll leave a post card in my wake.
From god knows where
And I don't even give a damn
But I know you're never coming home
You said one, too many times before
You'd never leave me
But I found out once or twice before
Lies are easy
The hardest thing I do
When I walk in the room
Is trusting and believing
Everything you say is true
One day I swear
You're going to tell me you'll be here
And it won't mean a thing
I'll be long gone
Take this turn, this time for your heart to break
And i'll leave a post card in my wake.
