As I walked through the year 11 corridor the next morning, I couldn’t help but feel like I was being watched.
Probably because I was.
Nearly every single person in year 11 had heard about my outburst in science.
That’s probably the worst part of being in high school. People talk. You do something, and in a matter of a period or two, practically EVERYONE knows about whatever you’ve done. Whether good or bad.
I walked until I had reached my locker.
“Hey Rach, how are ya?” Bob mumbled, his head in his locker as I presumed he had lost a book and he was on a scavenger hunt for it.
“Yeah, I’m okay. I’ve been better.” I shrugged, grabbing a pile of books from my locker.
“Umm… I can’t help but feel we’re being watched.” Frank hissed as he came up behind us.
“No, you’re not being watched, I am.” I said.
“Why would they be doing that?” Frank asked, confused.
“People talk Frank.” I said simply.
“Oh.” Frank mouthed.
“So, what have you fine ladies got this morning?” Ray said, placing his arms on our shoulders as he came to us from behind.
“Well, right now I’m meant to be in the principal’s office for an interschool suspension, then I have recess. Then interschool suspension, then half of lunch, then detention, then suspension, then home. What about you Fro Baby?” I laughed.
“Geez, they went a bit hard on ya didn’t they Rach?” Ray said.
“Nah. I thought they were going to give me something worse. I got off easy this time.” I said.
“But, something good does come out of it… I don’t have to work with Kara in science tomorrow.” I sang.
“Well then she gets a free double. She won’t do any work unless you’re there to do it for her.” Ray said with a hint if annoyance in his voice.
“Yeah, that’d be right.” I hissed.
It fell into a brief awkward silence.
“Yeah, I gotta go now. I can’t be late or Lewis will go off at me again.” I said, hurriedly walking off towards the principal’s office.

“Aren’t you getting sick of people looking at you Rach?” Ashley asked as I walked to our usual spot, under a tree, and sat next to Gerard, who pulled me into his lap.
Gerard gently kissed my ear and held me tighter in his arms. I leant back into his chest, relaxing just a little bit.
“Why do people keep looking at you anyway?” Ashley asked.
“Because I’m an idiot and I can’t control myself.” I hissed.
“Huh?” Frank asked, confused.
“I had a go at Coburn and basically yelled out to the whole class that my parents are getting divorced.” I sighed.
“That’s gotta hurt ya.” Frank mumbled.
“Yeah, I just enjoy having everyone staring at me because I had a go at my teacher and told everyone my problems.” I said sarcastically.
“I’m so tired.” I whined, trying to change the topic.
“Didn’t you sleep again?” Gerard said in my ear.
I shook my head ‘no’.
“Why not?” Gerard sighed.
“Dunno.” I shrugged.
I shifted around so I was facing Gerard as I still sat in his lap.
“What are you doing tonight?” I whispered, gently blowing on his neck while I slowly traced my finger up and down the side.
“Nothing… Why?” Gerard whispered, a smirk on his face.
“I’m all alone tonight, and there’ll be no one there to keep me company….” I said in a quite, overdramatic voice.
“Maybe I could keep you company?” Gerard said; playing along and pulling that smug look on his face when he knows he going to get some.
“Well, we’ll just have to see what happens then.” I said in a low, sexy voice in Gerard’s ear.
“Oh god, don’t do that to me. Not now.” Gerard shuttered slightly.
“Do what?” I asked in an innocent tone.
“Use your sexy voice. You use your sexy voice and it gets me all excited.” Gerard said in a husky voice.
“I’ll have to keep that in mind then.” I seductively breathed against Gerard’s neck.
Gerard shuttered again, closed his eyes and swallowed hard.
