A ghostly echo, clad in crimson,
Stole in through the window
You left open when you ran.
Such misleading beauty in that glossy smile she wears,
And suddenly I’m falling once again.
I’ll carve myself hollow, empty inside
To make space for her to occupy.
I’d do anything to please her,
I’ll transcend the bounds of mortal flesh
As long as she hovers by my side.
And as her voice takes over my thoughts,
The hole you left is filled at last,
And the pain inside goes numb.
So stay here now, my crimson bride
And let me speak my wedding vows
To you.
I promise not to run this time,
Hand in hand, we’ll leave the light behind
And linger in the dim twilight
Until it fades to black.
Stole in through the window
You left open when you ran.
Such misleading beauty in that glossy smile she wears,
And suddenly I’m falling once again.
I’ll carve myself hollow, empty inside
To make space for her to occupy.
I’d do anything to please her,
I’ll transcend the bounds of mortal flesh
As long as she hovers by my side.
And as her voice takes over my thoughts,
The hole you left is filled at last,
And the pain inside goes numb.
So stay here now, my crimson bride
And let me speak my wedding vows
To you.
I promise not to run this time,
Hand in hand, we’ll leave the light behind
And linger in the dim twilight
Until it fades to black.
