Homecoming

sigh Accepting that Zack was really dead was never one of those things that came easy to me. Advent Children ruined my dreams, of course, but they live on in the world of fic.
This got to me in so many ways. The idea that they don't just fall into each other, but that it is awkward, and that they have to adjust to one another again, that it isn't all just hearts and roses, makes it so much more real. And I appreciate that you wrote it for us.Homecoming

Absolutly delightful story ^_^
Thank you so much for writing this, I needed this, and not read another Dead-Zack fic =_=;;
And the way you wrote both Zack and Cloud was wonderful!Homecoming

I found this story not long after learning of Final Fantasy VII in Sept 2008, and becoming enamored with the concept of Zack & Cloud together. Although I have read at least a hundred other fan fics about them since then, this story remains one of my favorites. Cloud's trauma with Zack's death makes his return more intense, and the time they take to accept it, makes it more realistic. I adore the implication that they DID have an intimate relationship before Zack's supposed death. (remembering "The Roof," and when they are together at the end, it's "just like before"). So, even if Zack really was dead and did not return, at least Cloud had those good memories. I'm a little curious what Tifa's role is in the household, how she came to hang around. But apparently it's platonic ... good! Indeed, "For those of us that needed a more happily ever after," The need is fulfilled. THANK YOU.
