The concert hall for the Almost Acoustic Christmas show was packed. Linkin Park was doing their show. Jade had already finished hers. The guys were doing amazingly. Jade was nervous. She never got nervous doing her own show anymore. But she had never sang on stage with Mike before. She was afraid she was going to make him look badly. She sighed. The guys were finished. A few other people would sing their own songs before she and Mike would sing. They were really changing the AAC show around. Mike went backstage through the opposite door of Jade to change his clothes. She sighed. She watched the other people perform, waiting for she and Mike's turn. A crew member smiled and handed her a microphone. A lady rushed by, making sure her hair was straight, and checking her make-up. She gave her a thumbs up. Jade looked out to the stage.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, put your hands together for Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda," an announcer smiled. Mike was already sitting at the black grand piano. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a black undershirt, and dark grey tie. They'd decided that it would be best for him to sing the beginning of the song. He played his long intro, and then took a breath, and started to sing.
"Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water? Mary, did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?" Jade smiled. He sounded so beautiful. "Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you delivered would soon deliver you?" He paused singing for a moment, and then took a breath. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jade Jewell." Jade smiled and walked out onto the stage. Mike's fingers slipped a bit on the keys. She was so beautiful. She was wearing a pink dress. It was strapless, and tightly fit at the top with several flowing folds falling after her waist. Her hair was in a tight updo with tendrals falling around her eyes and cheeks. She smiled over at him and started to sing.
"Mary, did you know that your baby boy will give site to a blind man? Mary, did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?" Mike started to sing harmony with her. "Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? When you kiss the face of your little baby, you've kissed the face of God?" Jade looked over at him. "Mmm," she sang, "Mary, did you know?" He smiled at her. He played with more emotion to the song. Jade continued with the bridge.
"The blind will see. The deaf will hear. The dead will live again. The lame will leap. The dumb will speak," Mike sang with her again, "The praises of the Lamb." They held out the note, and Mike paused with the piano. Mike started to sing again.
"Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation? Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?" Jade sang harmony with him. "Did you know that your baby boy is Heaven's perfect Lamb?" The music paused again. They looked at each other. Jade started to sing the last line.
"The sleeping child you're holding," she paused. Mike sang with her. "Is the Great, I am." They drug the last note out for a long time, and Mike finished with the piano. She looked over at him, sighing hugely. The crowd erupted. They were on their feet, clapping as loudly as they could. Mike smiled and stood up. He took Jade's hand and they both bowed. Jade waved, and blew a kiss to them before walking off the stage with Mike. He grabbed her in a hug once they were through the door. He lifted her and spun her in a circle.
"That was amazing!" he cried. She smiled as he put her down, and he kissed her hard. Mike was suddenly caught off guard, and shoved away from Jade. She looked at him, and then glanced over to see Brad, red-faced. Mike looked at him.
"What the Hell, man?" he was cut off.
"I fucking KNEW there was something going on between you two!" Brad bellowed. The other members of Linkin Park ran up. "I knew that you were fucking her!" he screamed.
"The Hell's going on?" Chester asked. Brad looked over at him.
"Tell him, Mike!" he snapped, "Tell him how your screwing Jade!" Mike glared at Brad.
"Why is it any of YOU'RE fucking business if I am?" Mike yelled back.
"You just fucking broke up with Anna, Mike!" Brad screamed. Joe glared at him.
"So, you are?" he snapped. Mike looked over at him.
"Stay the fuck out of this Joe," Mike spat. Joe shook his head.
"It's true what they say, then," Joe chuckled, "Rockstars fuck everything on two legs." Chester shoved Joe.
"Fuck you, man!" he growled, "Mike's life isn't any of your fucking concern!" Mike was fuming.
"Fuck you, Chester!" Brad spat, "You're a fucking PIG, Mike!" Mike growled and flew at Brad.
"Hey!" Chester screamed, and jumped between them, pushing Mike backward. Mike yelled and shoved Chester off of him. He glared at all of them.
"Man, fuck this," he said, "Fuck this if this is how you guys are going to act. Fuck Linkin Park." He grabbed Jade's hand, "Come on, Jade." He turned around and walked out. And the on-lookers couldn't believe their ears. Linkin Park had just broken up.
