"guys, I have to go home now"
"you want a ride?" asked Jeff
"naw, I'm good but thanks"
"anytime"
"I'll walk with you" said David
"you live the oppisite way" said Pierre
"doesnt matter, I'll take the bus after"
"lets go" I said to David "see you guys tomorrow at school"
"see you David and Dill" they said and we left Chucks house and started walking to mine.

To get to my house, we have to walk back by the school and then keep
walking two more blocks then turn left, go down one block turn right, go down another
block and then my house is right their. the whole walk to my house was spent talking.

"this is my house right here" I said
"nice house"
"thanks"
"Sooo I guess I'll see you tomorrow?"
"bright and early"
"alright"
"bye David"
"bye Dill" he said and we waved at eachother and I went inside my house
"I'm home" I yelled
"in the kitchen" said mum and I went into the kitchen where my mum was with my
dad and sister
"hey sweetie" said mum and dad
"hey, whats for dinner?"
"mashed potatos with corn and chicken"
"yummy"
"who were those guys that you were with?" asked Taylor
"those were my friends David, Pierre, Seb, Jeff, and Chuck"
"the one with the white short sleeved shirt that had dark hair and had the skateboard was pretty hot"
"Pierre?"
"if thats his name then yeah"
"the guys is four years older then you are"
"so"
"you cant go out with a guy who is four years older then you"
"I didnt say that I would go out with him"
"yeah sure, you always say that and then the next thing you know, you are going
out with the guy that you said you would never go out with"
"Dad, Dilly won't leave me alone"
"Taylor, your sister is right and If I ever see you going out with a guy who is four years
older then you before you are sevebteen, you will be in big trouble" said Dad
"Mom" sge said
"Tay, listen to what your dad is telling you and he is absolutely right, you
will be in deep trouble if you ever go out with a guy that is four years older then you
before you are seventeen"
"alright" she sighed
"anyways dinners ready" said mum as she brought the pot of mashed potatos to the table and I brought
the corn and dad brought the chicken.

"so how was your first day at your new school Dilly?" asked Dad
"it was fun, class was fun because my friends are in all my classes and break was fun
to because we went to the store and then we bought some stuff for lunch"
"why'd you buy it at the store?" asked mum "why not the cafeteria at the school?"
"David said that food at the cafeteria tastes like crap"
"David one of your new friends?"
"he was the first one that I met, then I met Pierre like a minute later"
"what about the other guys?"
"David inrtoduced me to Seb just before second period, and then Jeff and chuck, and yeah"
"thats good my girl"
"what about me? what about my first day at the school?" said Tay
"how was your first day at your new school Tay?"
"it was ok, class was boring but I made some new friends Maliea, James, and Cody, they
are cool kids and they are in my class"
"thats good my girl"

So the rest of dinner was spent talking about our day. After dinner, I went up to my room.
My room was painted black, posters on the wall, really nice stereo, big bed that had a black
bed set and the blanket was black and had pictures of guitars and said 'ROCK ON CAUSE
THE WORLD AIN'T GUNNA ALL BY ITSELF' along it, had a computer, desk (with a black and pink
fuzzy spinny chair), and way more. I went over to my stereo and put Green Day in and turned it
to 'Long View' and turned it up loud. the next song that I listened to was called 'Welcome To Paradise'.

"Dilly, mom wants you to turn it down a bit"
"yeah whatever" I said and turned it down four notches
"do you have homework?"
"whats it to you?"
"I'm just asking"
"no, do you?"
"yeah"
"on the first at the school?"
"yeah"
"that sucks"
"totally
"what do you have?"
"I have to do Math"
"Math sucks"
"your good at math right?"
"yeah but only because at school back in Vancouver and Wyoming I had no friends to talk to in class
so the only thing that I could do was pay attention and learn even though I hated it"
"I hate math"
"so do I but hey"
"can you help me with it?"
"what are you doing in Math?"
"we are doing integers"
"alright" I said and she sat down with me at my desk (I have another fuzzy cahir that is lime green) and
she took her math and her (new for her) math book out, paper and pencil out and opened to the page
that she had to do
"I dont really understand it" she said
"so you understand the adding and subtracting part?"
"yeah"
"but you dont understand the multiplying and dividing part?"
"no because back at school in Vancover we just finished learning the adding and subtracting part"
"oh ok"
"so yeah, I just dont get the multiplying and dividing part"
"alright"
"can you explain it to me?"
"yeah"
"alright"
"To multiply a pair of integers if both numbers have the same sign, their product is the product of their
absolute values, their product is positive. If the numbers have opposite signs, their product is the opposite
of the product of their absolute values ,their product is negative. If one or both of the integers is 0,
the product is 0." I read outloud from the textbook
"what do they mean?"
"basically what its saying is that, if both products are positive then you
are going to end up with a positive answer, like for example if you have postive four times positive three
your answer will be positive twelve. and if both products are negative, then you are going to end
up with a negative answer, for example, if you have negative ten times negative three then your
answer will be negative thirty, did you get that?"
"yeah"
"if you got what I said, then how did you not understand the book?"
"because you explained it easier"
"oh"
"what about dividing integers?"
"lets see" I said and pulled the book over a bit more
"alright"
"To divide a pair of integers if both integers have the same sign, divide the absolute value of the first integer
by the absolute value of the second integer. To divide a pair of integers if both integers have different signs,
divide the absolute value of the first integer by the absolute value of the second integer, and give this result a
negative sign." I read outloud from the textbook and pushed it back over to Taylor
"huh?" she said Blankly
" what its saying is that, like I said before two postive integers always equal a postive answer, for example
if you have positive ten divided by positive two your answer will be positive five. and if you have
two negatives then your answer will equal to a negative, for example, negative 24 divided by negative three
your answer will be negative eight, do you get that?"
"yeah but what about if you have a negative and a positive together?"
"so if you have a negative divided by a positive then your answer will be a positive.
an example for that is, if you have negative twenty-four divided by positive six then your
answer will be negative four. and If you have a positive divided by a negative then your answer will
be a negative. for example, if you have positive ninety-eight divided by negative seven, your answe
will be negative fourteen, do you get that?"
"yeah"
"do you really?"
"yeah"
"alright"
"so if I have negative twenty five times postive two my answer will be negative fifty?" she asked
"you bet"
"and if I have positive twenty times positive two my answer will be positive fourty?"
"yep"
"ooohh ok"
"do you get it now?"
"yeah"

"thanks Dilly"
"no problem" I said and she took her stuff and went out of my room and into hers
"Dilly" said my dad as he came into my room
"yeah?"
"mum and I heard you helping your sister with her homework"
"yeah"
"thank you"
"thank you for what?"
"for helping Tay with her homework"
"no biggy"
"i want to give you this for helping her" he said and handed me twenty dollars
"why the money?"
"for helping your sister"
"thanks"
"your welcome" he said "do yuo have any homework?"
"nope"
"alright"
"I'm gunna go and take a walk"
"alright sweetie" he said and we walked downstairs and I got my shoes on
"where you going Dilly?" asked mum
"I'm gunna go for a walk"
"but its dark outside"
"I'll have mu phone on"
"alright but be careful and dont get nito any mess"
"I wont dont worry"
"alright" they said and I put my pink hoodie on (it said punk-princess on it) and walked out into the
cold November air.

As I was walking toward the school, I realized that I didnt really know where to go since I just moved down
here the other day and dont really know where anything is around here. I decided to walk to Chucks house and see
if he wanted to come for a walk with me and then we could go and get the others. Once I got to his house, I knocked on
the door three times and then someone answered the door (his dad)

"hello" he said nicely
"hi is Chuck here please?"
"yes one second" he said and went to get Chuck and a minute later chuck came to the door
"hey Dill" he said kindly "whats up?"
"hey, I was just wondering if you wanted to come for a walk with me"
"you walked from your house to mine to ask me to come for a walk?"
"yeah because I wanted to get out of my house and the only other place that I knew to go besides the school
was your house"
"you clould of just looked my name up in the phonebook and called you know" he said kindly with a smile
"I dont have a phonebook" I said inocently (in a joking way) "and I dont know your last name"
"Comeau, thats my last name and yes I'll come for a walk with you"
"yay"
"dad, I'm going for a walk with my friend"
"alright, call when you are coming home"
"I will" he said and we left "so, wanna go and get the guys?"
"yeah sure"
"alright" he said and we started walking
"who's house is first?"
"Pierre and Jeff just live two blocks away and then Jeff or Pierre will drive us to
Sebs house to get him and then we will ride over to Davids house since he lives the furthest"
"alright"
"so hows your night so far?"
"pretty good, my dad gave me twenty bucks for helping my sister with her math and yeah, how about you?"
"mines goin pretty good, my mom and dad ordered pizza for dinner"
"I love Pizza"
"me to, you should see David when he see's pizza"
"why, what does he do?"
"David loves it so much, he goes crazier then he already is"
"I've known the guy only one day and man that guy is hilarious"
"he has ADD"
"really?"
"yep"
"me to"
"so does my sister but she doesnt go all funny and wired up"
"she doesnt?"
"nope, she just doesnt get her work done and when she doesnt get her work
done, then she brings it home, and when she brings it home, she doesnt understand any of the work
and then someone has to explain it all to her like I did tonight and thats why I got twenty bucks"
"what homework did she have?"
"she had Math and they are doing integeres"
"those are so easy"
"for her they aren't"
"are you good at math?"
"yeah, in my old schools I didnt have no friends so that meant that I had nobody
to talk to in class so that meant that the only thing I could do was listen to the lesson, learn the work
and get it done but now that I have friends in all my classes, that will probably change, especially since
David is in all my classes"
"David is such a goof ball" he said as he knocked on either Jeff or Pierre's house door and a woman answered
"hello Chuck" she said "I'll go and get Pierre for you"
"thanks mrs. Bouvier" he said and she went to get Pierre
"So I'm guessing that this is Pierre's house" I said
"you bet" said Pierre as he came to the door "hey chuck and Dill"
"hey" we both said
"Just wondering if you wanted to hang with us" I said
"coarse" he said getting his shoes on
"alright" said Chuck as Pierre finished getting his shoes on and came outside, closing
the door behind hima dn we crossed the street
"who house next?" I asked
"Jeffs"
"oh yeah" I said as we went up the pathway and Pierre runf the door bell and Jeff answered
"hey dudes and dudette"
"yor hanging out with us"
"alright" he said an got his shoes on and then we all got in his car and drove off to Sebs house.

Once we pulled up infront of his house we all got out of the car and went to the front door. Pierre knocked.

"hey guys" said Seb as he answered the door
"hey, we're all hanging out right now, come on"
"iight" he said and got his shoes on and then we left
"wheres David?" he asked once we were back inside Jeffs cars
"we are going to get him right now"
"oh ok"

Once we got to Davids house, I knocked on the door and soem girl answered it

"hi is David here please? I asked
"one sec" she said and went and got David
"hey everybody" he said once he got to the door
"hey wanna hang out?" I asked
"sure" he said and got his shoes on and the we left

"so where we gunna go?" I asked
"lets do down to the house" said Seb
"what house" I asked
"their is this house that nobody has lived in for like three years and
we made it our place to get away for fun"
"i'm confused"
"our get away house is a house that nobody has lived in for three years and so we made it our
place to hang out when we had nothing esle to do"
"smart idea"
"Chuck came up with the idea of it being our
place to hang after David found it was empty"
"that was the only time that David was ever smart" said Pierre
"hey! what that supposed to mean? I'm smart at other stuff to" said David
"yeah like what" said Pierre and David looked at all of us
"my bass" he said and we all laughed, even he did.
"how far away is it?" I asked
"a few minutes, thats it" said David
"alright" I said and Jumped on Davids back "piggy Back"
"piggy piggy piggy piggy Back"
"we are here" said Pierre and David piggy backed me over to the couch
and then sat down.
"its cool here" I said
"thanks"
"what should we do?" asked Seb
"anything I guess" said Pierre
"yeah" said Jeff "their is nothing to do"
"lets play.....lets play truth or dare"
"nuh-uh" I said "no way"
"awww how come" said Jeff
"lets see, five guys and one girl does not work"
"fine" said David and my phone rang

"hello?" I answered
"hey sweety"
"oh hey dad"
"where are you right now?"
"with my friends"
"where?"
"um.. one sec" I said "guys where are we?"
"by Davids house" said Seb
"we are by Davids House" I said
"and David is one of your friends?"
"yeah"
"alright"
"alright"
"be home soon"
"will do"
"ok"
"bye"
"bye" he said and I hung up

"your dad?" asked David
"yyyep"
"I'm bored" said Chuck
"same" said Pierre
"I'm gunna head home" I said
"me to" said David
"alright, see you two tomorrow" they said and David and I left
"you can saty with them if you want" I said
"its ok, I'm bored and their is nothing to do"
"agreed"
"what time is it?"
"it is...9:30"
"when is your curfew?"
"dont have one"
"why do you have to be home?"
"because we just moved down here and dont really
know anybody or anything yet"
"oooohhh"
"yeah so thats why my dad wants me home"
"ooh ok"
"I hate how my dad is like that"
"I just need to stop at my house for a minute"
"alright" I said and then we went to his house.
