So Kellen is someone's daughter but she doesn't know whose. Her mother had her made a ward of the Church when she couldn't find a job to support her new family, and no one knew who her father was.
After living 16 years without knowing who her parents are, Kellen runs away from the Church and sets out to find them. She finds her birth mother and realizes she was better off without her. After much persuation she talks her mom into telling her who her father is. Ray Toro. Kellen goes to an MCR concert and goes backstage to meet her father.
After DNA tests prove the genetic bond between Ray and Kellen, Ray tries to make up for the lost 16 years.
