Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

Please, please, please if Hermione is so hormonally challenged to trade physical attraction for actual compatability then have her get preggers and watch Ron scurry away...that would amuse me greatly and teach her a great lesson in life. Brainless, slutty Hermione has no real place as far as I'm concerned.
Harry...well you know what I really don't know what to make of him.
Thanks for writing,
MattAuthor's response
- She's horny, not stupid. Also I wouldn't call a relationship with a single guy 'slutty' even if it is obvious to all than sundry that the guy isn't right for her. She isn't getting pregnant. Ron will make an exit in the story, but it will not be to 'punish' Hermione.
- Harry is just a guy experiencing the freedom that most of us had at the age of 10 or so for the first time at 17. He's learning how to be harry and not Voldemorts (and Dumble's) designated victim.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

I can see that the possibilities for this fic are numerous. I loved what you did when messing with Dumbledore. When I read the first few lines I sighed, "Here we go again." But you did a great job screwing with the old man!
Questions: Under Wizard law in your fic are multiple wives allowed?
If not, will he challenge that law?
And finally, Is Tonks still alive/ will we see her in this fic?Author's response
- That was precisely the reaction I was looking for. Do-Over fics are rarely anygood.
- Sure, why not?
- She's already been in the fic, the observer at the Leaky Cauldron watching Fred and George make out. Yes, she will be back.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

I'm really hoping Harry's 'date' with Daphne will lead down the road to freeing Hermione from whatever influence Ron has on her! Its turning my stomach at the tone of how their 'relationship' give off!
Ugh!

- Ron and Hermione will go their seperate ways in a chapter or three, though I really don't get the hostility everyone is having in regards to Ron. He isn't a bad guy in this, he isn't dosing her with a potion, he hasn't betrayed Harry.
- When Harry had his falling out with Ginny and her parents Ron had to choose sides, and with a Weasley family is everything. He distanced himself from Harry with Harry's full support. Family is important to Harry as well despite his never having had one. Hermione believes herself to be in love with Ron (Who knew Ron would be very very good at something besides chess?) went with him.
- To be clear. Ron is NOT the bad guy. NO Potions. Hermione Horny not enslaved.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

I seriously hope this wont turn into a H/HR story after Ron is finished with her.
I also hope after its over Harry won't just accept her back as his best mate either. She and Ron both made a choice and should have to pay the price for their decision.Author's response
- Not planning on it, but the damned actors tend to adlib in my head and my outline changes...
- Just to be clear, there are NO problems between Harry and Ron or between Harry and Hermione. Harry had a falling out with the Weasley Adults and Ginny. Ron had to choose between his family and Harry. Harry fully supports Ron chosing his family. Hermione is with her lover. She is still Harry's friend. Ron and Hermione no longer hang out with Harry to prevent friction between the pair and Ron's parents. There is no paying. Harry isn't in love with Hermione, and I don't plan for him to be. Harry is looking for love for himself with other girls. Hermione is a friend.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

The most likely reason for the hostility that you are seen is that her reactions to Ron don't seem normal, in the first chapter you have her saying that she goes from geeling little, to just being soaked whenever he touches her. And while this does not autimatically mean Love potion, it doesn't seem a natural responce.
Another reason might be that most people that aren't hardcore canon shippers started to dislike Ron/Herm after book 7 (it ruined alot of things in the series), and thus you are catching flak for having that be one pairing (despite it not going to last).Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

You've got more good ideas than I can shake a stick at. I liked Harry's ethical line drawn between what to give to his roommates and what to give back. I don't necessarily agree with it, but part of me does.
Hopefully the Hermione situation will be resolved soon.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

Thanks for the update, and I know that you are hearing a lot of noise about hermione and ron. and i'll tell you why hermione seems completely different thats why people keep aksing if potions were involved. and as for ron it's the question hermione had asked herself, why am I with ron,and the statement she made ron isn't harry. it soundes like she chose second best, and ron has never had that much influence on hermione. but I am really waiting to see where you are going with this story. and yes H/Hr is my first love so you do know how I hope that this story turns out, but will harry end up getting any expierience in this story before it's over. Oh and the main reason that people don't like that ron and hermione situation is beacause he's not good enough for her, it's the same thing that JKR did she made hermione become a housewife with ron and she had the potential to become minister of magic with harry.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

You know, it's a bit odd to get used to being stunned, but I am. You always manage to knock me out for a while.
This is a most intriguing story, and i get some familiar vibes from Hermione's behaviour. New and improved?

- Re: Hermione, if by New and Improved you mean Healthy, Horny and In Love, then yes.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

Very nice so far. I always liked Harry/Daphne pairings for some reason hope you stick to that. Would this happen to be a Harry/Many story or a Harem one? Update soon! xDAuthor's response
Harry/several as in he's going to be dating like a normal 17 year old and not looking to tie himself down for life.
