Wednesday afternoon, and it's bubble-time again. Nothing ever happens on a Wednesday. Nobody ever gets killed on a Wednesday, that would be ridiculous, such pathetic loss of face. Death on a Wednesday.
Schuldig giggles convulsively while another part of him listens, detached, to the sound of his voice in the empty room. Death on a Wednesday, death in an elevator, death in midsummer, death in Japan. Switzerland, even. Maybe they're in Siberia now. There is no work for him today, so Schuldig hasn't bothered to get up. Clouds stream by overhead.
Schuldig can't remember which country he's woken up in.
