Great update, as usual. I loved Neville's story for Dumbledore, can't wait to see if you've got more of them. Also looking forward to Tracy and Daphne's upcoming conversation.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

i cant wait to see ginnys reaction and is this a harem?? or just harry dates around a bit??
i also cant wait for more funny stories about how harry won.Author's response
- As originally intended, it was going to be 'Harry dates around a whole lot', but the thrust of the story has changed given what an engaging character Daphne has turned out to be.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

Well, in order for Harry and Daphne to break up, one of them is going to have to do something monumentally stupid. They're just getting along too well for anyone else to get in between them.
As one of your other reviwers noted, Harry is everything Daphne would have grown up expecting to marry. She'd be doing everything in her power to make Harry happy, and given her friendship with Neville, she pretty much holds all the cards right now.
Looking forward to the upcoming chapters, and hoping that Harry sticks with Daphne.Author's response
- Bearing in mind that Harry's entire career at Hogwarts has been punctuated by his doing monumentally stupid things...
- Both Harry and Daphne are fairly damaged by their upbringings... After the euphoria of the new relationship starts to wear off, each might find themselves looking to others to verify if what they are feeling is real... Or not.
- I agree that Harry is what Daphne would have been raised to sold to...
but is she happy with that thought???Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

This was an excellent chapter with many funny moments. I particularly liked the story for Dumbledore and the Omake (being a douglas adams reader and all). While I know it is at the authors discretion who he ends up, I would certainly prefer it if it was Daphne, with Susan being my second choice. I like Hermione and all, but there are a lot of HHr stories, and this is shaping up to be a nice alternative.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

This chapter was slower-paced than the others, but that wasn't a serious problem. It was very much an instrospective and reflective part of the tale.
Heh. I really wonder why Dumbledore cares how Harry and Nev snuffed Tommy-boy. I can only assume that either (a) he wants to claim that it was his idea or (b) that he killed Voldemort and this is how. It is sad how desperately the old man is trying to maintain his position as 'defender of the light' by going dark.
So, we have a small idea of what the Weasleys did. I do hope that they get their comeuppance (the Goblins taking back any stolen money and seizing assets in case of any cash shortfall).
I did enjoy Daphne and Hannah's interactions. You write Hannah as what I think of as the stereotypical Hufflepuff: Level-headed, fair, compassionate but with a very low tolerance for self-delusion. She is a useful foil for the more highly-strung and damaged personalities in this story.
Not much Hermione action here, but I think that next chapter's discussion with Harry should be quite interesting. I also wonder if Dumbledore will approach Daphne and try to persuade her to 'encourage' Harry to support Dumbledore's policies... all for the 'greater good', of course.
I am also looking forward to delusional!Ginny's confrontation with Daphne.
GINNY: You are trying to steal my Harry!
DAPHNE: Weaselette, for me to steal him would presuppose that he was ever yours. I'm afraid that he wasn't.
GINNY: You SLUT! He IS mine! Dumbledore promised him to me... er... oops!
TRACEY: Ooh! What a give-away!
Seriously, I love this and I'm looking forward to the next part already.

- I see it as a taking credit sort of thing. I have long suspected that he actually had little to do with the fall of his dark lord...
- There won't be any retributions visited on the Weasleys (unless the twins restart the prank war, then all bets are off) Harry's done with the elder Weasleys and Ginny.
- I see Hufflepuff house as being the ultimate in information gathering, as a group they know who's doing what to whom.
- Ginny isn't interested in Harry. She's interested in his money.
- I lost half a point? sniffHarry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

Very Nice chapter- I liked Neville's story for Dumbledore. Glad you found a way to put that in; I look forward to the next one. ^_^
Overall, the chapter looked good to me... I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Oh, two more thoughts/comments...
One, I have no idea on the specifics of it, but my brain is trying to wrap itself around the idea of something involving the events/reprecutions of the mass seventh-year exodus... maybe something inivolving the seventh years all returning from a bar together - 7th years from ALL houses... maybe just Draco coming back completely drunk and embarassing himself in the great hall at dinner. I dunno. It's quite late, and my brain just isn't able to pull the idea completely together. Maybe you can make something from it.
The other thing is I noticed in the story that the 7th year's freedom isn't mentioned to be limited to Hogsmeade trips or weekends...Author's response
- The thought just occurred to me that there was something just unexplored about this school subjecting 'adults' to 24 hour control. Since you have to be 11 to start at Hogwarts, and the Wizarding age of majority is 17, that means that every single member of the 7th year is an adult. Really, outside of class, what control can the school actually place on them?
- As far as I'm concerned, as long as they're in class on time, the 7th years could go anywhere any time out side of class, limited only by their finances and abilities.Harry Potter and the Marriage Contracts

a fine addition to this story; and i'm glad to see some development for Hannah and Daphne, two characters that are woefully underused in fanfic, at least in my humble but usually accurate opinion. GRIN
Looking forward to more of whatever story (as long as Hogwarts the Musical isn't one of them) that you have in the pipeline.

- It gets old using and reusing the same old characters. I mean it's not really a HP fic without Ron and Hermione at least being in the back ground, but why not bring up the others?
- Sure you say that, but you're humming Draco's "I feel Pretty" right now. No use denying it.
