The sun lights up my world each morning
Bringing with it, the day to come
Shining light upon new horizons,
Options and conquests, making it seem hard to complete
The things we wish would go away.
And until they go away, my life is in darkness, my soul,
Lingering in the void between awake and asleep,
Because as long as I am asleep,
No harm will penetrate my dreamless world,
Inevitably meaning my soul will not return,
Unless I wake
So much as to be able to enter the void,
And take back the soul that I dearly miss,
need, hope and pine for
Bringing with it, the day to come
Shining light upon new horizons,
Options and conquests, making it seem hard to complete
The things we wish would go away.
And until they go away, my life is in darkness, my soul,
Lingering in the void between awake and asleep,
Because as long as I am asleep,
No harm will penetrate my dreamless world,
Inevitably meaning my soul will not return,
Unless I wake
So much as to be able to enter the void,
And take back the soul that I dearly miss,
need, hope and pine for
