Your hair grew longer
(That’s how long I haven’t seen you)
A smile that used to be
A huge grin
(We’re strangers now)
Graced your new face
And I knew that I mirrored it
(My face just as new)
We used to be soclose,
But now we both smile
And think,
“Hey, I knew her once.”
And continue walking.
