Ch. 11
The Truth of Megan Love’s Past
Billy opened his eyes and sighed seeing the walls of the hospital. He couldn’t count how many time’s he was in the hospital because of that house…
Two people started laughing
Billy blinked and looked over and his eyes widened and he sat up
Benji and Joel stood there smiling at him
Benji reached down and tapped him on the forehead, “Wake up sleepy head!” He said laughing
Joel laughed some and grabbed his hand and pulled it back and looked at Billy, “Hey dude. How ya feeling?” He sat on the bed looking at him, “You remember what happened?” He asked
Billy still in shock shook his head slowly
Benji put his hands together, “Let us fill you in!” He cleared his throat and started explaining, “Ok, when you dazed off Megan did her part and somehow got rid of your father, then Joel and I ended up by you some how don’t ask us, but we’re alive! And well just then Hilary, Mandy, and this weird girl got up into the attic. Hilary’s expression to see us was funny but yeah. Well we got you out of there and got you down to the hospital…” He looked up, “Or did the ambulance come there?” He asked looking at Joel
Joel looked at him, “When Billy screamed the neighbor heard him and called the ambulance. The neighbor met us outside.” Joel said and looked at Billy, “You must have screamed loud bro cause that neighbor lived a little ways away.” He said and smiled
Billy smiled slightly still not believing he is talking to them
Benji waved his hand, “Whatever. This all seems like a dream! But you know what Billy.” Benji looked at him, “You know how you said it was over? Well guess what?”
Billy looked at him worried like
“Bud, it is over… Megan got her revenge and is living right in heaven.” Benji said smiling at him
Joel smiled, “Very sweet Benji.” He said
Benji looked at him surprised like, “You really thank so, thank you!” He said putting his hand to his chest looking away
Billy smiled big and started laughing and crying
Benji and Joel blinked and looked at him, they looked at each other and nodded and both hugged Billy at the same time
Billy leaned into them hugging them tightly, “I…Missed… I missed you guys… so much…” He managed to get out through his tears
Benji and Joel both said crying themselves, “We missed you too…”
Billy pulled back and smiled at them, “Don’t leave me ever again ok?” He asked smiling
“Are we interrupting something guys?”
They looked at the door
Hilary, Mandy, and Susan were standing there
Billy smiled, “No Hilary… not at all…” He said
Hilary smiled, “I love you…” She said walking forward and hugging him
“I love you too…”
“I love you daddy…”
Billy blinked as Mandy hugged him crying
“I love you so much dad… I’m sorry…” She said
Billy hugged her, “It’s ok sweet heart… I forgive you…”
Susan sighed and looked away
Billy blinked and looked at her, “Susan come here!” He said smiling holding out an arm
She blinked and smiled and walked up to him and hugged him
Benji and Joel smiled and hugged them all to
“Everyone is back… I understand now Megan didn’t mean it…” Billy mumbled, “I love you all…”
Two years later
Billy is out of the hospital, Living with his daughter and now his new wife. He purposed to Hilary soon after he got out of the hospital. He couldn’t wait, now he is married has an eighteen-year-old daughter ready to graduate and now they moved back to Waldorf Maryland to be closer to Benji and Joel. Mandy’s changed, she is not gothic or punk, she is her normal sweet self like she was before she was tied up in everything. Hilary has grown into a fine women, her job is a collage teacher at the collage where Mandy is going to go to. Billy, Benji, and Joel made a band called Good Charlotte, Billy is the guitarist and he plays the keyboard, Joel is the lead singer and is learning how to play electric guitar, Benji plays electric guitar and is backup singer. They also got two others, Paul Thomas, and Chris Wilson. Chris is their drummer and Paul is the bass guitarist. But besides being in a band Billy is still his single singer self.
Not to long after Billy got out of the hospital they visited Sarah and Josh Madden’s grave and Hannah Sangwin’s grave. Benji had a break down when he realized he killed Sarah, Josh, and Hannah. He wouldn’t picture a life without Hannah and his siblings. Benji sat by their graves crying and apologizing and saying he would give his own life to have them back. He stayed there for hours before going back home, he would always go back the next day and stay there forever. Joel missed them all really bad to but he didn’t want Benji to be this way, he understands with Sarah but he just hated the fact Benji killed Josh and Hannah…
Also a week or some after cops asked them questions and Billy told them where to locate Megan Love’s body, and they went a found her body, soon after her family went through a funeral for her even though her body was decade, there wasn’t anything left of her, Billy, and his family went, and Benji and Joel even Susan did as well. They all said their blessings really then left so they could put it behind them…
Billy sat in the library looking through police files Paul’s father hesitantly let him look through sense Paul’s father was a sheriff. Billy sat looking thorough Megan’s file. He clicked on a bio and started reading out loud to himself
“Megan Love, recovered from the hospital from a 4 year coma on May 23rd 2004, after being beaten harshly. Police and court had no evidence that Rick Love did it. Soon after Megan was let out of the hospital she went to the police and started telling them…” Billy trailed off not believing what he was reading, “That Rick Love sexually abused her and beat her…” Billy looked down trying to fight back the tears, he took a deep breath then looked up at the screen, “Police decided to believe her claim… and sent her home!” Billy hit the computer, “You idiots! Don’t you know what you are doing…” He screamed at the computer and leaned his forehead on it. He looked around the library as people were watching him. He sighed and looked at the computer and started reading. It was the same as what Benji found out before he died, all that was really different was how the police were trying to get Rick tossed in jail. But all they had was her claims…
Billy looked up at the screen, “Yeah and before they could get anything Rick found out about her going to the police and killed her that day, he met Stacie yeah and was going to kill Megan anyways, but was going to wait… If Megan was protected by the police this wouldn’t have happened, god… this is gay!” He closed his eyes and got out of the site and walked out of the library
Down at the cemetery
Billy stood there looking at Megan’s grave, considering they cremated her body and buried her in a bottle… he didn’t even know they could do that anymore. Billy placed red roses in a vase in the ground and sighed putting his hand on her grave stone, “I’m sorry Megan… You actually now are kinda a step mom to me. I hope you rest in peace now. I finally found out about you. And I’m sorry for not understanding that before, I love you, step mom…” He said standing up, he turned to the grave sight again, “And now… the haunting of Rick Love is over…” He said and started walking leave this behind him and to live a wonderful life with his family and friends, behind all that he knows he will never forget the adventure he had trying to run and protect loved ones, but he understands that, it is really over this time.
