fallen from grace
1 reviewabout overcoming expectations and being true to yourself... how emotional :P

I can see I’m not what you wanted
Mistakes and noise, not grace and poise.
You wanted a pretty face to answer the door
I think I’m more than you bargained for.
You lured me into your white frosted house
To a world of sugar-spun sunlit days
I knew your charms had trapped me, and yet
I smiled at the childish games we played
Your games, charades I couldn’t win.
And I longed for more than pastel pink and blue
A world with shades of grey, and then
I wanted so much more than you
I ran away, away from your paradise
No longer your angel I abondoned my prayers.
I strayed to the Devil and at once I could see
He was better than you could ever be
So really, I’m beyond it now.
I don’t need your beautiful lies
Don’t promise the skies, the sea, the stars
I’m far from all that and I’m not going back.
The girl you knew has gone, moved on, to
Somewhere a hundred times more free.
So keep your life, and your poise and your grace
And don’t you dare try to save me
Mistakes and noise, not grace and poise.
You wanted a pretty face to answer the door
I think I’m more than you bargained for.
You lured me into your white frosted house
To a world of sugar-spun sunlit days
