Beautiful gap filler Linda. Just the right blend of "the real thing" and your own interpretation.First Meeting

This is basically nothing but a copy of the healing scene in LOTR, with very little original about it. As such, I can't recommend it. Fanfiction is supposed to be more inventive than this. Bad show.First Meeting

Lindahoyland is a dedicated Tolkien bookverse fan, with a knack for packing and drama.
This is a sweet story, though of the more lightweight of her works. I like the compassion and interest shown in Aragorn, as a healer and a man, in Faramir; the connection with Ecthelion and Denethor during Aragorn's time as Thorongil is not forgotten. The tension of Aragorn's weakening himself to save Faramir is well-written.
I like the initial suspicion shown to Aragorn by the healers, who of course wouldn't really know the dingy Northern Ranger and would bristle at the thought of him treating Faramir, who is not only beloved in Minas Tirith, but now the Steward of Gondor.
The writer and I do not agree on all facets of Faramir's character. But this story stands well on its own.
