  lily's sacrifice is often decried as common what mother wouldn't give her life for her child the logic goes but what if its not just that she gave her life defending harry but that she gave it defending him from an attack that specifically was targeting him specifically enough that she was offered the chance to live in good faith if she stepped aside

  fire does not require a spark if there is enough heat and fuel and oxygen then there will be flame a spark is just a bit of a short cut on how much heat is needed
