On the Edge
Don't touch me.
I'm scared that you'll push
Too hard, and I'll topple
And plummet to the ground
Don't need me
I'm scared that you'll take
Too much, and I'll be gone
A shell of what I wanted to be
But I need it
I need your love
And your touch
And I just need you.
Because I care,
Even though I don't want to
I do
And it stings
And it cuts
And it kills
And it's true.
Don't touch me.
I'm scared that you'll push
Too hard, and I'll topple
And plummet to the ground
Don't need me
I'm scared that you'll take
Too much, and I'll be gone
A shell of what I wanted to be
But I need it
I need your love
And your touch
And I just need you.
Because I care,
Even though I don't want to
I do
And it stings
And it cuts
And it kills
And it's true.
