I always hated what I was. I couldn’t stand it. But I couldn’t change it. I was this forever. As I looked over into Frank’s eyes I knew he wanted an explanation and I knew that I had to give him one and I knew it had to be the truth.
I knew what he was also. Even if he didn’t know it, I did. I had to tell him that too. I had to tell him he is what I am. He won’t fully be what I am until he turns 18 like I am. He doesn’t turn 18 for another few weeks or so on Halloween. That’s why he is dangerous.
There are only a few who are like him. A few who are born on Halloween. Those who are born on Halloween are the most powerful and most of the time they go mad with power and are captured and taken to an island in the middle of the Arctic.
They can’t die. They are known as Scarab Vampires. There is nothing that can kill them. They live forever. Scorpio vampires however have only one thing that can kill us. It’s a rare metal that is called Copronium. It can only be found in the depths of the earth. We found this out because a Scorpio was working with some project that had the crew digging deep into the earth’s core. Some of his crew brought some Copronium back with them. When he was shown this metal he fell over and shook violently. He died within minutes. We might as well say that there is nothing that can kill us because Copronium is so rare.
All of a sudden I was jerked out of my thoughts when I heard Frank scream. I saw a black blur fly across the front of the car and we went swerving into a building. I wasn’t sure what building it was but I used my levitating power to move the swerving car into a near by field. I looked over and saw Franks eyes grow wide with fear.
I knew then that I really needed to find a safe for us to go so I could explain everything about me and about him.
I turned into the parking lot a hotel. It was cheap but it was a nice hotel. It only cost about 100 dollars a night for 2 rooms. I told him to go to his room and clean up and then come over to my room so we could talk.
I hopped in the shower real quick and when I came out Frank was on the bed wide eyed and looking scared.
“Alright,” I said, “ I have a lot to explain to you but I’m not sure where to start.”
“Um, ok how about what hell did you do when we almost crashed for starters,” he said with strain in his voice.
“ok but it may sound crazy,” I replied. “I am what is called a Scorpio Vampire.” I started. I continued when he didn’t say anything. “I am a cross between a vampire and a werewolf. I also have powers. Like when we almost crashed into a building but instead we ended up in a field. I can levitate myself and things I am touching. I can also fly. All vampire types have the best reflexes and are good at sports and can run fast. Since I am part werewolf I can run a lot fast then most vamps. All Scorpio vampires have these traits and more. I am a young Scorpio and have not developed all my abilities. All Scorpios can die from a rare metal called Copronium. It so rare that we don’t worry about it. It is the only thing that kills us. We live forever. We cannot die, ever. I also must tell you to disregard almost every myth about vampires. The only one that’s true is we do drink blood. Mostly from those who willingly give it to us.”
With a surprised, wide-eyed look he replied “Wow you really are a nut case. You were right I don’t believe you because there is no way in hell that what you are saying is true. Is there anything else that you’d like to tell me about your crazed self or is there something else you must say.”
“I’m not nuts, Its all true. There is something else I can tell you that might make you believe.”
“What” he snapped.
“I can read thoughts and I think your gorgeous too.”
He stared at me with a surprised look on his.
