Chapter 15

Brendon’s POV

The time went fast. We got the record done and went on tour. Kendra came out when she could. It was hard making wedding plans when your fiancée wasn’t with you, but we did it. We were getting married tomorrow. I couldn’t believe it. I was excited and nervous. I was at the airport picking Barbara and Patrick up. Being apart from him really worked. I never thought about him sexually. I was worried when I would see him. I waited for them by the gate. People started coming off the plane and then I seen them. I noticed how happy they were. I looked at Patrick and knew I was making the right choice. I walked up to them.

“Hi, you two.”

I hugged Barbara and then Patrick.

“How was the flight?”

“It was alright. Nothing too exciting.” Barbara said laughing.

“I don’t want to know. Should we get you to the hotel and then you can come to the house?”

We dropped off their stuff at the hotel and went to the house. Kendra was making lunch for us.

“Babe, we’re here.” I said as we walked in.

“Barbara, I’ve missed you.”

Kendra hugged her.

“I’m so glad to be here. You have a beautiful house.”

“Let me show you around.”

Kendra took her throughout the house.

“So, how have you been?” I asked Patrick.

“Good. We have the new Fall Out Boy record almost done. Hopefully, that will put the rumors we broke up to rest.”

“Yeah, since we are taking a break we’ve heard those about us now.”

“Are you nervous?”

“A little, but I know I’m making the right decision. How are you and Barbara?”

“Good. I finally got her to move in with me. It’s going to be hard to leave her. She’s going to come out on tour a week or two though.”

“Patrick, I’m sorry about that night in Chicago when I kissed you. I don’t know why I did it. It was stupid of me. I’ve apologized to Kendra. I hope you accept my apology.”

“I do. It was a messed up time for all of us. I’ve explained things to Barbara and she now understands. I think that’s why she didn’t move in right away. Everything is fine now.”

The girls came back and we had supper. I looked at Kendra and around the table and knew things would work out.

Kendra’s POV

I was just putting on my wedding dress when Barbara came in the room.

“That is gorgeous.”

“Thank you. Can you zip me?”

“Sure.”

“I haven’t really talked to you. I’m sorry?”

“It’s fine. You have more important things to do.”

“That’s true. So, have you told him?”

“Who’s him and what?”

“Patrick and that your going to have a baby.”

“How did you know?”

“I don’t know. Woman’s intuition, maybe.”

“I found out the other day. I’ve tried to tell him, but I just don’t know how to go about it. Already, he wants to take me on tour with him. I’d love to, but I have a life in Chicago. If I tell him I’m pregnant I don’t know how he’s going to act.”

“For one thing, he’s going to flip. In a good way. Patrick will be a great daddy. Tell him soon, okay. You love him, right?”

“Of course, I do.”

“And he loves you. It will work out.”

“I’ll tell him soon. This is your special day. Enough of me. Where are you going on your honeymoon?”

“Brendon hasn’t told me yet. It’s a surprise.”

“Your going to have a great time.”

Just then my maid of honor came in and it was time to go out.

“I’ll talk to you later. Good luck.”

“Thank you.”

I was so nervous, but as soon as I seen Brendon the butterflies went away. I don’t remember much about the ceremony. Next thing I heard was, “You may kiss the bride.” It was over. We got pictures taken and went to the reception. I was so glad we just had a small wedding. After the dance we went to the hotel room.

“How are you feeling?”

Brendon said as he put his arms around me.

“Good. Really good. I’m so glad we got married. What about you?”

“Same. I wanted to tell you something. I was a little worried about seeing Patrick again. I’m glad he came. I feel nothing for him. I know I did, but it seems like such a long time ago. I never want to hurt you like that again.”

“I feel the same way. I’m so glad we put that behind us. I never want to go back to that again.”

I turned in his arms.

“I love you, Mr. Urie.”

“I love you, Mrs. Urie.”

He started to kiss me and I was truly happy.

Patrick’s POV

We came back from the wedding and I knew something was bothering Barbara. I didn’t know if it still was Brendon or the tour. We were unpacking our suitcases in our room when she ran for the bathroom. I followed her and knocked on the door.

“Sweetheart, are you alright?”

“Not really.”

She came out and looked horrible.

“You must be getting the flu. Here let me get you to bed.”

“No, I need to talk to you.”

God, this was it. She finally was going to break up with me because of that damn kiss.

“I haven’t thought of him in over a year. I’m sorry about the kiss.”

“What? This isn’t about that kiss you fool.”

“It isn’t?”

“I’m over that. Sit on the bed.”

I sat down and was more nervous than before. She took my right hand and placed it on her stomach.

“I know you can’t feel him or her, but your going to be a daddy in about 7 months.”

I looked at her stomach and up into her eyes.

“Are you serious?”

“Yes. I went to the doctor before we left. I wanted to make sure. I didn’t know how to tell you. Are you alright with it?”

“Am I alright? Hell, yes.”

I got up and kissed her.

“I love you so much. We’re going to have a baby. This means you are definitely coming on tour with me.”

“Oh no. Don’t start that please. I’ll be fine. You’ll be home before the baby is born. Just in time to start the third trimester. I’ll come out for a week or two. That’s it. The guys won’t want a pregnant woman around.”

“I don’t care about the guys. I care about you. What happens if you need someone?”

“Your mom lives 20 minutes away, your sister and brother are close. I’ll be fine.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I pity this child. If your so overprotective of me, think of what this child is going to have to go through.”

“Your so funny.” I made a face at her.

She kissed me and we fell on the bed with her on top of me. I ran my hands up her shirt.

“You know what they say about pregnant women?”

“What?”

“They are horny a lot. And I mean a lot.”

“I’m up for it if you are.”

“God, Patrick, that was so bad.”

“I didn’t mean it like that. Get your mind out of the gutter.”

“Yeah, sure. From the man who uses ‘that’s what she said’ any chance he can get.”

I rolled her over so she was under me and continued to kiss me.

Barbara’s POV

I was almost 7 months pregnant. Patrick was suppose to come home soon and I couldn’t wait. I missed him so much. More than I thought I would. I was taking a nap when I felt a pair of arms around me. I smiled knowing who it was. I tried my best to turn around.

“Oh, Patrick. I missed you so much.”

I hugged him.

“I missed you too. Let me look at you.”

I pulled back from his arms.

“Holy,”

“Don’t you dare say anything about my size, Stumph. This is your doing.”

“I wasn’t. I was going to say you look beautiful.”

“Sure you were. I know I’m huge. They say their 100% sure there is only one.”

He placed his hand on my stomach.

“Has the baby been moving at all?”

“Are you kidding? This kid doesn’t stop. There, did you feel it?”

“No.”

He had a frown on his face. I grabbed his hand and placed it on the other side.

“Right there. Say something.”

Patrick bent down so his mouth was close to my stomach.

“I love you, sweetie. I hope you took care of your mommy when I was gone.”

The baby kicked.

“Oh my god. I felt it.”

He was smiling. How I loved this man. I hugged him and had tears in my eyes.

“What’s wrong?”

“I love you. I’m so glad you came into the café that night.”

“I love you too. You are everything to me.”

I looked at him and kissed him.
