After some time, the rushing waters of the Anduin lose their grandeur, and the blur of trees and grass on the shoreline ceases to hold intrigue. The rocking of the boat lulls you into stupor, until all of a sudden, you can see the Argonath appear on the horizon. The tall pillars stood as ominous guards, stone cold and solid, heedless of politics and public affairs. One purpose did they have: to protect and watch over the realm behind, to give warning, to inspire fear. But though they stood silent sentry next to the powerful river, they also inspired awe.
