I loved it. The bitter sweetness that spilled into my mouth, my name a mere breathe on his lips, barely coherent amongst the whispering moans. Years of stolen glances had led to the moment when I could finally have him. Him, all baby fine hair, soft angular features; all low slung jeans and too tight tops. Him who I loved with all my heart though should be locked in jail for even thinking of him this way, never mind sleeping with him this way.
He ran his fingers through my hair as I cleaned him off and crawled up his body to lie beside him. His chest was still heaving and the drying sweat on our lithe bodies made us sticky but I allowed him to rest his head on my chest as my fingers ran up and down his spine, feeling him shiver beneath them. I pressed a kiss to his hair as I reached for his t-shirt and boxers and handed them to him, rolling out from beneath him and grabbing my jeans.
“Come on, mom and dad will be home soon.” I said.
He nodded and reached for his jeans. That was the problems we faced engaging in a relationship like this. We knew the risks yet we’d carried on anyway. Now we were addicted to each other, constantly looking over our shoulder to make sure nobody would find out. They couldn’t find out.
“I love you Gee.”
I turned around to see Mikey sat on the edge of my bed, playing with the fabric of his jeans, looking down. I ceased looking for my shirt and knelt on the floor in front of him, tilting his head up to meet my eyes.
“Hey it’s ok. We’ve been through this. I love you too. It doesn’t matter what people think. We’re not doing anything wrong. I love you and you love me. That’s all that matters.”
He still looked hesitant but he smiled and nodded and I placed a chaste kiss to his lips. I cupped his face in my hand and rubbed the pad of my thumb across his cheek, mesmerising the skin I already knew so well. I heard a car pull into the drive and quickly kissed his lips before pulling back and finally locating my shirt.
