!!!!!Chapter 1!!!!!
Hilary Mathers just moved to Los Angeles, California. She lived in Detroit, Michigan with her parents. She is the daughter of famous rapper Eminem and is nineteen years old. Hilary and her family had to move to Los Angeles because her father was currently working on his album. She loved having Eminem as her father but she hated all the media attention. They watched your every move and she didn't like that. Hilary was excited about moving back to Los Angeles because her best friend Joy lived out there and she was looking forward to meeting new people. It was hard for her to meet new people because her ex boyfriend, Bryce, was controlling.
One of the main reasons Hilary moved away from Detroit was because of her ex boyfriend Bryce. Even though she broke up with him he still came around and acted as if they were still dating. He was very controlling and very abusive. Hilary broke up with about a month ago because of two reasons. One being she was moving to Los Angeles and the other was that she found out she was pregnant. She was three months pregnant to be exact. She didn't want him around. She was afraid he would kill the baby and she didn't want the child to be raised around someone like him. Nobody knew she was pregnant except for her parents, her twin sister Hannah, and Bryce. Lets just say her daddy wasn't very happy.
It’s been a couple of days since Hilary and her family moved to Los Angeles. Today Hilary was going to go meet up with her best friend Joy. She hasn't seen Joy in a year. She was nervous about seeing Joy because she was afraid what she was going to think about her being pregnant.
Hilary arrived at Mr. Chow and walked in looking around for Joy. Her eyes scanned the room and soon fell on a familiar female. She had shoulder length brunette hair with blonde highlights and she had very pretty hazel eyes. She was wearing a denim mini skirt with a white spaghetti strapped shirt. Hilary smiled making her way towards her, “JOY!” she said excitedly
Joy looked behind her seeing her best friend walking up to her. She had gorgeous blonde hair that went to the middle of her back. She also had gorgeous crystal blue eyes to match the blonde hair. She had on pink short shorts with a white wifebeater tank top on. Joy stood up smiling, “HILARY!” she said running up to her and pulling her into a hug
Hilary hugged her back, “Its so nice to see you!”
“I know! You look amazing!” Joy said pulling away smiling
Hilary walked over taking a seat, ‘thanks so do you!” she said smiling
“Thanks Hilary!” Joy said watching her, “so I assume you've been doing good”
Hilary nodded, “yes I've been fantastic” she said smiling
Joy nodded, “awesome. So how are you and Bryce?” she asked watching her carefully
Hilary sighed, “well. I'm currently single. We broke up about a month ago...”
“Oh no. What happened?” she asked with sympathy. Joy was happy that they weren't together because he was very abusive and controlling.
“Well...” Hilary said pausing, “he got to the point where he was too abusive and he like beat on me all the time. He would do it even when we weren't fighting and stuff and I got tired of it. And not to mention he put me in the hospital i don't know how many times because of it. And there’s one particular reason why I broke up with him...” she said stopping
Joy watched her, “what particular reason might that be?” she asked
Hilary sighed looking up at her friend, “well I found out a couple months ago that i was pregnant.”
Joys mouth dropped, “Hilary you're pregnant? Oh my gosh that’s wonderful!” she said smiling some
“I know I should be thrilled but I'm just upset that Bryce just has to be the father. It sucks so much to think about that. I mean he’s so mean and abusive that I had to move away from him just so I could keep my baby safe....” she said looking at Joy
“He didn't beat on you when you told him you were pregnant did he?” she asked
Hilary nodded, “Yeah he did. After I told him I was he still continued doing what he did. I had to leave and get away from him. I was seriously scared he was going to kill the baby....” she said looking at Joy, “and just the thought of having him in my life until the day I die sucks even more...”
“Hilary don’t worry about Bryce. As long as you are with me you are safe okay? And maybe you will meet somebody nice and sweet.” Joy said trying to comfort her
Hilary looked at her with tears in her eyes, “I don't think anybody will want a pregnant girl who is almost twenty years old” she said looking away, “plus my heart is damaged from everything that’s happened. I don't think I could love anyone else.”
Joy smiled watching her, “I’m sure somebody will come and sweep you off your feet”
Hilary sniffed back some tears, “yeah that would be nice” she said smiling as she wiped a few tears away
[A Few Days Later]
A couple days passed and Hilary had been spending most of her time with Joy so they could catch up on things. Today the girls were going Halloween costume shopping!
Hilary and Joy walked into a Halloween costume store that was in the mall. They looked around seeing a whole bunch of different costumes to choose from. They had everything there from being a nurse, cheerleader, fairy, vampire, to whatever you wanted!
“Joy I don't know what I want to be! There’s so many cute costumes” Hilary said searching through them
Joy pulled out a costume, “I found mine! I'm going to be a sexy nurse!” she said smiling
“I think I'm going to be a sexy French maid” Hilary said pulling a costume out, “I wanted to be a sexy cheerleader but then my little stomach would show and I don't want that” she said smiling
Joy walked over to Hilary with her costume in her hand, “alright we got it figured out. I'll be a nurse and you'll be a French maid! Lets go check out.” she said as Hilary followed her.
The girls paid for their costumes and headed out of the store and made their way to the food court. They ended up going to Subway since it was the closest and Hilary was craving it. They ordered their food and sat down.
“So where is the Halloween party at?” Hilary asked eating some of her sandwich
Joy took a sip of her drink, “its at Benji and Joel Madden's house. They are some good friends of mine.”
Hilary looked up at Joy, “aren’t they in the band Good Charlotte?” she asked
“Yes they are!” Joy said smiling
Hilary smiled watching Joy, “Yeah I heard that Joel had a crush on me. Well you know it gets around from tabloids and stuff. But that’s just what I heard. I saw him at the VMA's but that was like three years ago.”
“Yeah Joel is adorable but I like Benji! He’s so sexy.” Joy said blushing some as she smiled
Hilary looked at Joy, “Aww Joy has a crush on Benji! How adorable!! Are you two gonna have beautiful babies together?” she asked giggling
Joy hit her playfully, “shut up! You're embarrassing me!”
“Aww sorry!” Hilary said laughing as she moved out of the way before Joy could hit her
“I hate you!” she said rolling her eyes playfully
Hilary took a drink of her pop, “I love you too Joy!” she said smiling
Joy just shook her head and went back to eating. Soon the girls were done and decided it was time to head home since it was getting late.
[Outside]
Hilary and Joy were outside walking to Joy's car as her phone vibrated. She looked down seeing Benji calling her. She looked over at Hilary and answered it, “hello?” she said smiling
“Hey Joy! What’s up? I just called to see if you are coming to the Halloween party Friday night...” Benji's voice said on the other end of the line
Joy smiled looking around “of course I'm coming! I'm also bringing my friend Hilary so you and Joel can meet her.”
Hilary looked over at Joy with a smile on her face, “Aww Joy is talking to her lover boy!” she said soft enough for Joy to hear
Joy reached over smacking Hilary as she listened to Benji, “alright sounds sweet! I'll let you go. See ya Friday night.” he said with happiness in his voice
Hilary rubbed her arm as Joy talked to Benji, “alright Benji. See ya Friday night. Bye” she said hanging up as they reached her car.
“I can’t wait to meet this Benji Madden” Hilary said getting in the car as Joy did
Joy put the car in drive, “oh gosh I don't think I want you to! You're just going to embarrass me!” she said smiling
“Exactly” Hilary said giggling as they drove down the road towards Hilary's house.
