“Please stop.” I squeaked. He didn’t answer me back, he continued pressing on me. He moaned again. “Please. Just stop!” There was a banging at the door. Adrian quickly leapt up off me and lunged for the door.

“What!?” He hissed at one of his servants. The servant swallowed hard. “He’s gotten out.” Adrian’s face drained of any colour left in it.

“No. Not now!” He tore through the door, I heard him shout commands at his servants and a lot of banging and shouting after that. I ran to where the door was and peered out onto the top of the staircase.

I saw him. My heart leapt. He’d come for me.
